My wife and I had an impromptu date last night and dined here for the first time. As a former server for over ten years I can say with confidence that the service, the food, drinks, and the ambiance was 100% amazing. Johnny was our waiter and he was fabulous. It was one of the most memorable dates I’ve ever had with my wife and I highly recommend Botanic to everyone!! Beautiful grounds that I really appreciate. Thank you Botanic!!
We celebrated the holidays and a special occasion when are family was in town. The evening was amazing from beginning to end starting with the Birthday Girls name prominently printed on the menu. You can't beat the atmosphere during the holidays. The lighting is exceptional. Our server was top notch and took excellent care of the party of 8. I can't say enough about the food. Absolutely delicious and presentation was perfect. Timing of the courses was perfect.

Fine dining restaurant with beautiful scenery! My husband, my mother in law and myself went here for the first time and was amazed how beautiful it was. Everyone was nice and we had a comfy table. The food was delicious and a great portion size for the price. The only issue we had was my husband said his sandwich tasted like it had no flavor but everything else was amazing!

Went on a date to the Grille at the Botanic over the past weekend, and made a reservation for a dinner for 2 in advance. I was excited to go because I've been to the Botanic before and its beautiful, and I thought it'd be a great date spot... but as soon as we got there, my date and I were taken to this table in the picture. The table was in a spot w/ very little decorations around. If you've ever seen the Botanic, you'd know its beautiful and has a lot of pretty plants, but where this table is has barely any decorations at all, and was a table for 4 which is not conducive to a date. It also is very close to their main door, which is incredibly squeaky and loud. And because its the main door, it is constantly opening and closing. Upon seeing the table, I immediately asked for different seating, but we were told that wasn't possible. In fact, we were told that if we wanted a table in a specific spot, we could ask when we make our reservations next time. So the entire dinner we just suffered through listening to this loud door, which was just disappointing. Further we were disappointed by the food. I ordered a lamp chop, and my date a red seared snapper. The lamb chop plate was fine, I guess the meat was rather dry, and I don't think it lived up to its price tag. The sides were some quinoa and asparagus and 3 (three) blackberries. The red seared snapper was good, but the sides for that dish were a few slices of zucchini and white rice. These dishes were both >$50! Our server was nice, but overall I had a disappointing experience at the Botanic and would not recommend it for anybody that has to work hard for their money and wants to treat their date. Better off just going to Publix and getting nice ingredients to make fish, rice, and vegetables at home, and then going to Botanic afterwards to look at the plants. I never bother to write reviews for places, but my mind is genuinely boggled w/ how disappointing the Botanic was in terms of decorations and food. It makes no sense that the outside would be so pretty and that the inside would look like it does. And for some reason they don't even have live music. Its just some crummy piano that plays itself, and then some recordings of old timey music that clashes w/ the piano so you're just hearing two totally different songs playing at once. And the squeaky loud door, of course.

Botanic has a beautiful atmosphere. The landscaping is incredible. I have been there for brunch many times and lunch with girlfriends. The meals were delicious. Unfortunately my husband and I went last night for our 24th anniversary dinner, he had never been. We had been looking forward to our anniversary dinner for weeks. Everything was great until we got our appetizer. The okra and corn were so heavily salted and then we got our meals, Airplane chicken & fillet once again salted. These dishes had so much salt. Believe me I love salt but not a plate of it. My ankles were so swollen that night. I will go again but not for dinner.
I am still distraught over my trip to Botanic today. I work with the public on a daily basis as a home care hospice nurse. The lack of respect from an employee, well that’s sometimes just kinks in hiring process, but poor service and terrible manners from a manager (a SON of the owners)… absolutely mind blowing. Here’s the facts of sub-par service at this establishment. I made reservations more than a month ago for a special birthday for my two friends who have never been. They were both so excited. Arrive 5 minutes early. Problem #1- asked to sit on porch area, but were told “those seats are reserved”, I found this odd as I was never provided an option on picking a table, but decided not to question as this was an enjoyable day and was trying to be understanding. Lo and behold a friend walked in and was seated at porch table, so asked how she got to pick this table as I would certainly love to pick next visit. She stated, “I didn’t request the table, they just seated us here”. Problem #2- extremely slow service. When waitress finally arrived were asked about drink orders. I asked for a drink menu as we were never provided. She brought one and then stood over the table as we all had to squeeze together to flip through as she said she only had one for the table. Problem #3- the manager (K. Braswell- owners son) came to our table before I even received my debit card back from paying our almost 200.00 bill… he said, “Sure you ladies are trying to save the worlds problems, but I have others who have reservations so I need you to move this conversation to the couches”. I was speechless! He ushered us off and I just stood outside stunned. He had to run out to give me back my debit card. He said he’d go find my friend who was clearly upset and try to make right by “free drinks”. As he walked in the door, he rubbed shoulders with her and said nothing. She went back in to discuss concerns and let him know she had made reservations for her and her mother, but felt needed to cancel due to such poor service. Manager replied, “you never have to come back here”. Basically good riddance. As i mentioned … behavior like this from an employee, not acceptable, but not as flooring as a manager who’s the son of owners. I will never return. I get better treatment at McDonald’s. Lagrange has very nice wineries with 5 star treatment. Pabellas and Nutwood. The most beautiful ambiance. We also have great greenhouses like Adlees. There are many more options where you can spend 200.00 and walk away feeling more blessed than when you walked in. I truly feel this establishment is more concerned with money they get from you versus the customer experience. To kick you out before you even receive your debit card back… WOW! Do not waste your time or money at a place who clearly doesn’t care one smidget for you as a customer. Shameful!
Wow little speechless what transpired at this restaurant, my wife after months of planning and reservations was literally asked for her party to leave the seating today. These girls are hospice nurses that work tirelessly to care for in home patients and witness death and tragedy on a daily basis showing care and compassion to everyone in their darkest times , most times working 7 days per week. A rare occasion for them all to be off on a single day at a single time so yes this took a lot of planning for a special day, after other visits they had this planned to come back here for a wonderful day. Arriving at 11:10 at reservation time, asked to be sat on the porch with the view. Was immediately told these were “reserved” mind you she had reservations for a month in advance. Then while seated one of her friends came in and was sat there, she spoke to her saying hello , when she told them she did not have a reservation at all and this is where she was sat by hostess. After slow service, no menus then being given menus and the waiter standing over them awaiting an order rather than walking away and giving them a minute , they ordered along with drinks. They ate their food and approximately 12 minutes after finishing the lunch time the very entitled manager whom posses zero people skills came over to and said “I know you guys are solving all of the problems of the world but we need you to move along”.. mind you they had not even brought back the cards from paying the bill as of yet !!!!!! Rather than make a scene they got up to leave, never getting a receipt , then chased out the door to return the card that was used as they were making them get up to leave as stated prior to even returning from paying the tab. As it turns out the general manager is momma and daddies child who own the place, so don’t expect good service ! Even after all of this nothing was said nor offered, not that they were entitled to anything , but they then had a reservation for this upcoming weekend which was certainly cancelled on the spot and the manager literally replied , “ we don’t care if you don’t come here”… so please keep this in mind when choosing a special night out. We certainly will not be back.

Atmosphere = STUNNING, BEAUTIFUL! Like eating at Rivendell with saxophones! Would come back just for this. Service = Very Nice servers who are NOT Trained in Service. We had to ask for app plates and silverware @ every course while the food got cold. Table stayed cluttered and dirty for long periods. Food = fish and chicken cooked dry. Duck was too tough to cut. We liked the Dr. Pepper Burnt Ends. Huge miss on delivery at the level expected. Wonderful place to host an event if they can raise the standard of food and service.
