This quickly became my "go-to" spot. I highly recommend it.
The couple that owns the place are so nice. The food is excellent.
Best in the Gulf - I’ve been looking for a designated snowball cone and food place. We’ll be back!
Delicious! Great for a 92 degree day to celebrate Independence Day!
Would love to try this place, but they don't open until 1:00. Alot of missed business since most of us who work in Opp go to lunch at noon.
We tried the snoballs, Cajun burger, and boiled peanuts. Everything we had was delicious and full of flavor. What made the experience better was the owners and knowing it’s a single couple putting their all into the business. Thank you for a taste of New Orleans on the beach <3
snoballs were great and frito pies was delicious.
best people and great food best prices on gulf shores go see these guys you will not forget it
Stopped in Opp to get gas and noticed the shave ice stand, so we had to stop and get some! The people working there, which I assume were the owners, were very courteous, explained ice cream was also available, and later patiently took care of my request for specific colored straws for my kids. We opted for shave ice. I got a 16oz orange with creme topping...dreamsicle all the way..., My wife got peach and vanilla, my daughter got a mix of flavors and my son wanted a rainbow coloring. Taste was good on the orange and cream, but the very bottom of the cup (which most shave ice experiences is slushy and flavorful) had plain ice. The tall height of the 16oz cup with the average spoon length didn't quite allow me to get to the bottom of my cup anyway, so that worked out. My wife's peach wasn't super flavorful, but the flavors aren't likely homemade. Not sure of this, but I didn't see it advertised as such. There was a Christian music station or playlist on the speakers. It was a bit too loud for me, but was nice to hear that type of music in public. Pricing was fair, $3 for kids cup and $4 for the 16oz. I think a shorter, rounder cup size would solve both issues I experienced with the product. I would return to this stand for the product, people, and atmosphere.
