“First time eating there and to say it was absolutely amazing is an understatement...it outranks any pizza place we've ever been to and we will definitely be back 10/10”
“I Found Finely diced onions in the mustard .Not sure..if it was on purpose or accident.. But the Food is fresh , made to order , best Restaurant in OPP Alabama by far..”
“Wanted to have ribs but they were out. So have to come early if you’d like ribs. The pulled pork was good, as well as the baked beans. Hubby said his regular chicken plate was good. I liked the homemade style cut fries. The mild bbq sauce is vinegary based, so if that’s not your thing, maybe get the sweet bbq sauce. Pound cake came with the meal and we liked it. 2 pieces of Plain old white bread, not grilled.Parking: In front of the building….very busy…..we have a Dooley so had to park across the street.”
“Y'all.... Best BBQ I have ever had!!!! We were just driving through but we were starving, it only added 3 minutes of drive time to the trip, SO WORTH IT. It doesn't look like much, it actually looks kinda sketchy, but we are a biracial couple and they were nothing but nice to us. They focus on bbq, so if you want a selection of other stuff you won't find it here! They focus and perfect the BBQ ❤️❤️ go there seriously”
“A very friendly southern down home cooking cafe! The food was absolutely delicious and the hospitality was even better. The catfish was beautifully breaded and fried!!!! The hamburger steak with onions was equally delish with the black eyed peas seasoned perfectly!! The young waitress was southern gem. She said that they was having Orange Koolaid Pie today. We had never heard of such a pie. Next thing you know here she came back with a beautiful cup of this Koolaid pie with slice of orange on the side. My husband loved it!!! The owner came to visit us at the table and ended up sitting with us and visiting. She was super! Even giving us some good advice on our future trip to Chattahoochee Florida! I give this cafe a 10+. We would definately go back when we are in the area.!!!”
“While traveling through Opp, my sister Vonnie and I stopped in at The Honky Tonk, where JC and Carla Cornelius served to us some of the best ribeye and chopped sirloin steaks we have ever eaten! My ribeye was perfectly cooked, and was juicy enough that it required no steak sauce whatsoever. The salad and dressing were fresh and really delicious, also. The other customers there for the pool tournament were friendly and engaging. We had a great time!We want to make this a night out each month from now on! Not one complaint from us...praises and gratitude only!THANK YA!UPDATE: After posting and reading the reviews, I am updating my post. Two negative reviews. SMH.One negative post stated the owner confronted a reviewer. No, the owner clarified what had actually happened. Also, I believe in Alabama, being a private club allows that club to serve alcohol on Sunday. Some people cannot be satisfied. Some people are just negative people.Don't worry about them in the least. ALL OF YOUR POSITIVE POSTS SPEAK FOR THIS BUSINESS CLEARLY AND LOUDLY.This is a great business with great food, staff, bands, and activities.KEEP ON KEEPING ON! Like I read in one post, "A diamond in the rough."We WILL visit again. We WILL refer customers, who like to have fun and enjoy great peeps in a great business, to The Honky Tonk...”
“What a fantastic dinner experience! Everything from the cocktails and appetizers to the salads, entrees and desserts was superb. The service was also excellent. We had the filet, the rib eye, the chicken Alfredo, and paneed chicken. All were divine as were the salads and sides that went with them. The desserts were delicious. I have a new favorite restaurant!”
“The name changed to "Cafe on Main". The place is basically a nice relaxing 4 sitter small, almost medium sizes table restaurant, the people mostly keep to themselves, although you get the feeling like you can talk to other people at other tables as an option, so it is both inverted and extroverted, depending on what you are most comfortable doing, the service was great, the waitress was very respectful and hard working, very understanding, the cooks, although you don't see them, tried their best to make the order of what you prefer, as hard dedicated workers, as the food came out fantastic, the service was great, the environment was relaxing, you leave your dishes at the table, pay at the counter when you are finished, the overall experience was fun and relaxing, of course, I ate with manners, so I don't know if it is eat with manners place or a free for all eat the way you like place, leave that to more reviews to answer that question. Overall, a good place to come to eat that has healthy soy-free food with moderate paced service, for a good deal, when you don't feel like making breakfast or lunch. 5 stars in my personal view.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian on request, that means eating cheese and eggs, the menu is mostly meat though, not Vegan food. Although, they do have options like coleslaw, hashbrowns, and fries as an option, if you are a Vegan.”
“Food delicious, great portions, reasonable prices. Our first time at El Charro, it's Friday night and the place was packed. We asked for fajitas for two, and Antonio told us a single order was plenty and boy, was he right! Our food came quickly, perfect fajitas. As we ate we watched the place empty out and nobody left there without a takeout box! We are pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back!”
“I gotta admit idk what them people at opp hardees are doing but they need to keep it up. Give those employees raises. Very consistent with everything love going there quick simple fastfood.”
“I really like this subway it is very clean. The food is excellent. You can also get pizzas here that are for individual size. and the best part is, is that they own the vape store next-door, h which has very high quality vapes at a very reasonable price. I truly enjoy going to Subway and then stopping off at the vape store knowing it’s owned by the same owners, and the staff at both establishments are fantastic. I highly recommend it.”
“I gave it 4 stars because my wife had to use the latrine very badly. She asked the employee if she could use the latrine and was told it is not used for public usage. And this is after we had made a 50 dollar order. Place was clean and neat employees were very nice mannered. But needless to say they have lost my business there. 1st time ever using that papa John's pizza. If anyone receiving service from OPP, ALABAMA, papa John's pizza do not ask to use there latrine. Your patronage there is not appreciated.”
“I enjoyed my Big Jack sandwich. Unfortunately, the side of cole slaw had zero flavor, but at least it was fresh and crunchy. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean, so this was a good choice for a quick bite.”
“Good buffet, Different menu each day, you can get either one trip, or multiple trips for slightly more. They are kind of hidden, and cater more to the military pilots who are using the airfield as well as locals.”
“An older little bar on the side of Hyw 52 outside of Opp Al. 1 pool table small bar but nice place for a cold coke or a beer depending on your preference. No food tho.. I'll be back .”
“We enjoyed the food and had a good time being there. It's a laid back, small town, locally owned business. That's our favorite kind! The buffet is well done and I loved the homemade banana pudding!”
“I’ve had Grit & Grind’s coffee as well as their breakfast, both were amazing! The owners are some of the best people you’ll ever get to know! Love these folks and their business!”
