Big Mike's Steakhouse - Orange Beach

We live locally and always wait until the off season to eat at Big Mike's so we don't have to wait for seating. Jan 6, 2026 was a great day to take our family that were visiting with us.
Service was exceptional.... our very skilled female server had it down! Always checking in with us without interrupting our conversation or being too intrusive. She was friendly and welcoming.
The quality food was well above average- served promptly. it was hot, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for such an experience

I ordered the grilled chicken Cobb salad while dining with five other guests. Mine was the only meal served undercooked. The chicken was rubbery and difficult to cut, so it was sent back to be remade.

I was told three separate times that my replacement was “coming,” yet the rest of the table finished their meals, received refills, and were given their checks before I ever received my food. My meal was charged at full price before I had even seen it, and I ultimately had to ask for it to be boxed to go.

When we spoke with the manager, she lectured me on cook times and explained that they don’t “have cooked chicken laying around to throw on a remake,” using this to justify why the meal could not be comped—despite the fact that I never asked for a free meal. She also stated that if I took the food, I would still be charged, an unnecessary and patronizing comment.

Our waitress was kind and attentive, and I appreciate her professionalism. Unfortunately, the manager’s defensive and dismissive response turned a simple kitchen mistake into an avoidable negative experience. Between the food safety issue, the excessive delay, and how management handled it, this experience seriously undermined trust in this location.

People have been telling me to try this place for years. We finally did and it is in hands-down the best stake I’ve had!

This place was amazing! Loved my ribeye steak and my wife loved her teriyaki chicken. The bread pudding is a must, it’s not what you think it tasted like funnel cake with ice cream. The best dessert I have ever had! Erica the server was amazing!

One of the beat steaks I have had. Would recommend. There is a wait time usually, but it worth the wait!

Big Mike’s in Orange Beach had good steaks, but you definitely felt rushed and the waitress couldn’t wait to turn the table. She was also rude and asked if we were ready to order before we even sat down. Not sure I’ll go back!!
