“This year's stay at Perdido Beach Resort was our first stay since change of ownership. The scenery was exquisite as always, and we noticed new additions to family friendly activities ! There's still many renovations in the world , but none that interfered with the atmosphere we enjoy during our stays. Many new faces , most of which had big smiles for all visitors . There were a few faces we missed, both entertainers ,& family members. There were only three of us this year. My mother who's 87yrs old & disabled, my 79yo aunt with late stage Parkinson's ,& myself, also disabled , but thankfully, can still be the designated driver of our little family. Apparently,my spinal & knee disabilities were perceived by 1 waiter as alcohol induced. I had went down to the bar ,with plans of purchasing a bottle of wine & rejoining my family in our room. We were actually in the Coastal Art Museum Hot Shop blown glass class,that morning & visiting family, since this was possibly the last chance we'll ever have to all vacation together. My recent spinal surgery affects my gait & ability to stand up quickly.It can cause me to vear left about 45,°& at times, cause uncontrolled arm tremors.I will be wheelchair bound within the next couple years, so I'm trying to enjoy the little time I can still stand without assistance, no matter how clumsy it may look. Although we had recently returned to the resort ,(after our day out ,with no alcohol,) when I arrived at the piano bar, Oveino, told his supervisor Matthew, I was inebriated , & refused to sell me a bottle of wine for my room. Life, & vacation with loved ones is way too short to argue with rude misinformed people , so I went to the PBResort store, steps away from the piano bar, & bought my bottle of wine to take back to my room. I did bring half a glass of wine from my room , from the night before , so maybe he assumed I'd been drinking before I arrived .But as mentioned,I'm the only designated driver & don't 'day'drink . The next night ,being the last of our short stay this year, I wanted to insure there were no issues ,in having a nice evening with my family . Again, life's too short , so I verified with the reception desk, as well as the store employees, that purchases from the store were fine to eat & drink in the piano bar .This seem to be a problem with the same employee , but I informed him as nicely as possible, that I had already confirmed,our presence & items from the store were perfectly acceptable in the piano bar ,& he could verify my purchases & permission from those employees. Also , I would love the names of the valets who assisted us each day. We did not carry around cash, but had intended to tip each of the wonderful valets ,at the end of our stay. Unfortunately, we only saw one of these galant gentlemen before leaving. I would love to send each of them a gift card with their tips for the week. We would have never made it without them. Thank you so very much. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit ,except for the already mentioned incidents & disregard of my medical condition. But I have always enjoyed my visits at PBR & would love to see the total remodel, if I'm still able to travel .(And hopefully the piano ladies will be on the music lineup,as well. I've always enjoyed their entertainment!)Every person at the reception desk, the PBR store, the cleaning staff , & every one of the valets , along with Jesse ,the guitar man , were phenomenal. They were professional , very kind & friendly,& treated my family with respect ! Next time , I will bring a note from my doctor , & my uncle, who's a Law Enforcement Officer, with his breathalyzer , as proof of my ability to hit the elevator button...LOL. (I was afraid I'd offend Ovenio by pronouncing his name wrong (& have probably spelled it incorrectly in this review), so I told him I'd call him Dr O~ because at the end of the day, my nightcaps, are wh”

As somebody who worked in the restaurant industry it literally makes me happy to see that. The food was ready quick, hot, fresh, and delicious. The space was clean as clean can be. We will always come back here. Kudos to this place because they are doing it right. Rare to get both good service and good food from a restaurant these days, but the folks on this shift nailed it.”

“We originally ordered with door dash for an easy Friday night dinner. Later to realize there was a fluke of some sort and they don’t do door dash. I called the restaurant and spoke with the sweetest young lady. Placed an order for pickup and I can say it took all of 10 mins to get there and our order was ready. We ordered bbq wings, which my husband said were the absolute best he has ever had. I ordered the Loaded bbq tater plate and let me tell yall.. 👏 fabulous! The bbq was sooo good and so is their sauce. I had the banana pudding as a side and that was purely amazing! Different. Like a secret recipe your Grandmama made for Sunday lunch. If wings and a loaded potato along with dessert were that great… we are eager to try everything else they serve. Such as their ribs. Five stars from us! Cannot wait to eat here again!”

“My daughter and I were there with her 10yr old golden. Of course we asked for outside seating, and were told an hour wait. Hostess did not get my phone # correct so when I didn’t get the welcome text I went back in. Another hostess changed it and neither one apologized for their mistake. Never broke a smile. Sooo we wait, and wait. Watched so many be brought in who clearly had not been there longer than us, empty outside tables with no one sitting there. I went back to the hostess stand to see how much longer, “it could be 3min or 15”, really. We finally got a table after an hour and 35min. We were put at the table next to the steps coming out on the patio, while there were two more tables open on the outside corner of the patio. Out of the line of traffic. Our golden was almost stepped on several times (one being the rude hostess) and the constant jarring of the ppl coming up and down the steps was very annoying. Imagine trying to enjoy a meal that you have waited two hours for and your table bouncing around. Our waitress was great and the food was excellent! Hostesses need to learn some manners as to how to be polite.”

“So I wouldn’t not recommend it, it wasn’t terrible to where we couldn’t eat our food, we were just very disappointed. We went based on reviews and the pictures and our food just was not what was pictured or talked about in reviews. There is New York style thin crust and then there is cracker thin crust, our pizza was cracker thin crust and I’m not a fan. Their “hand breaded” boneless wings were comparable to tyson frozen boneless wings and looked nothing like what was in the pictures. Their ranch tasted and looked like bottled ranch and not home made ranch which was also disappointing. Again, not angry or anything, just very disappointed. Reviews and pictures are very misleading. It was quick and easy and the staff was very nice.”

“They have a $10 lunch menu. The food and service was wonderful. The honey garlic chicken was delicious. Lunch was so great, we went back for dinner and I recommend a small garden salad with the seafood pasta. It was fantastic!”

“My daughter and I were there with her 10yr old golden. Of course we asked for outside seating, and were told an hour wait. Hostess did not get my phone # correct so when I didn’t get the welcome text I went back in. Another hostess changed it and neither one apologized for their mistake. Never broke a smile. Sooo we wait, and wait. Watched so many be brought in who clearly had not been there longer than us, empty outside tables with no one sitting there. I went back to the hostess stand to see how much longer, “it could be 3min or 15”, really. We finally got a table after an hour and 35min. We were put at the table next to the steps coming out on the patio, while there were two more tables open on the outside corner of the patio. Out of the line of traffic. Our golden was almost stepped on several times (one being the rude hostess) and the constant jarring of the ppl coming up and down the steps was very annoying. Imagine trying to enjoy a meal that you have waited two hours for and your table bouncing around. Our waitress was great and the food was excellent! Hostesses need to learn some manners as to how to be polite.”

“Arriving we told the hostess we were going to have to eat quickly because our dogs were in the vehicle with the engine running. She told us we could dine on the Pooch Porch with our dogs. It was a beautiful day and the waiter was great Took excellent care of us. We order grilled platter and fried platter. Food was fresh, hot and so delicious. Going back this week for boiled shrimp and gumbo with our babies on the porch”

He was kind to our kids, kept the chips and salsa flowing, was attentive without being too chatty, and was all around a GREAT server.
