Cotton's Restaurant

We ate here on our last night in Orange Beach. It was directly across from our hotel. Krisinea (spelling) was our waitress. She was great. She knew the menu well and was very helpful and attentive. We started with the fried green tomato appetizer. It was very good. For dinner, I ordered the chefs evening special of blackened grouper over Gouda cheese grits. It came with grill asparagus. My wife ordered the stuffed shrimp with the Gouda grits as her side. We then split the crème brûlée for desert. Everything was amazing. The grouper was cooked perfectly. It had a crab cream sauce on top as well. I tried one of my wife’s stuffed shrimp and the stuffing was excellent. But the grits…. the grits were simply devine. Creamy and spiced or seasoned with something we could not identify. I wish my cheese grits were that good! The crème brûlée was also better than others I have had. It was served in a deeper dish. This allowed what I thought was the perfect burned sugar-custard balance. This restaurant is celebrating 40 years in service this year. And it’s no wonder. Eat here. You will not be disappointed.

We made the mistake of dining down the road at Coastal the day before, so we give it a try here , you won't be disappointed!
We ordered the green fried tomatoes, fish tacos and the flounder with lobster sauce on a bed of rice with steamed broccoli, everything was delicious!
We'll be coming back in the future!

Amazing experience! We were there during the slow season and received private service. The food was some of the best we've ever had. Steaks seasoned and cooked to perfection. Delicious sides. The staff were all amazing!

Second time here!! There's needs to be music playing! It was so quiet and they sat us close to two other tables, so we were afraid to talk. Our waitress was nice and friendly. My steak was $44 dollars and worth every penny😋 My jalapeno margarita was da bomb!! We all enjoyed our meal, and hope to be back in town soon to visit Cottons again!

We both had the five oz filet mignon with baked potato and iced tea. All we can say is WOW!
Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the flavor was like none we have had before. Some sort of smoke and deliciousness like never before. The potato was hot and fluffy filled with butter sour cream and bacon and chives, a virtual perfect match to an outstanding steak.

Our server was as cute as she was efficient without being obnoxious about it at all.

Oh and the apple pie? If you don’t believe in old fashioned all American hot apple pie it’s because you have never dined at COTTONS in orange beach.

Overall outstanding all around.

I got a 5oz filet it was good my baked patato and salad was good the plate the salad came on was to small could not cut salad without salad going off the plate and wife's pinacaloda was not very frozen pretty watery my drink was good the price was right we caught there early bird specials
4:00 to 6:00 service was good

Joe the bartender was great!! The food was pretty good but we mainly came for drinks

We LOVED everything about this restaurant, from entry to exit. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Waitress was outstanding! Very knowledgeable of menu, pleasant and personable. Made my birth experience even better. I believe her name is Chrysenia. Forgive the spelling.

Their steak was ok/good. They cut the grouper into strips before frying small baked potato no salad with the entree. For the price you don’t get a lot of food

The service was great, don’t get me wrong, but the food was not good. Especially for the price. The fried mushrooms were flavorless. We ordered a 10oz steak (made up of mostly fat) for nearly $50. The crab legs were old, cold, and had very little meat in them. The restaurant smelled musty but was pretty once inside.
