Hunter's Bend Bar & Bites seems to be much more of a bar than restaurant. They are only open for breakfast and dinner. Of course I went for lunch to sadly discover they are not open for lunch. I find it quite odd that a bar and restaurant would be closed during lunch at peak tourist season. So my visit was educational at least to learn what they offer. For a place with the name of Hunter's Bend I thought it would be far more impressive but it was a rather plain looking place that appeared to be added as an afterthought. Overall it was far smaller than I thought it would be.

Love Sue! She was so nice and personable. I met 3 servers/bar tenders there in total and each one was great. The bourbon glazed meatloaf, the blue steel sour beer, the French fries, the chicken quesadilla…yes I ate them all. Please treat yourself and try each item I mentioned. You won’t regret it.

We went in and could not figure out where the restaurant was located. There was a cafe and then some tables near the bar which was in the hotel lobby. The food we had was good and the bartender was the server. Nice and quiet so we could carry on a conversation with ease.
