Do not eat here! Keep driving. I could count on 1 hand at the amount of tables occupied when we were seated, this only went up by one while we were there. I thought maybe it's because it's early and a weeknight. NO!
The hostess was going to seat is at a high top table and I asked for a regular table because my husband recently had surgery on his knee and it hanging like that hurts, after a huff and an eye room we were moved to another table.
Then the waiter prompt up on the fish aquarium to take our drink order, again for our food order, again to see if everything was ok, and yep you guessed it again when giving us the check. I started to ask him if he needed to sit since he couldn't stand up. But his lack of enthusiasm for our service or his job was so obvious I just didn't want to engage in conversation.
The food was ehh. My popcorn shrimp basket was a large portion but the fries were stale and were nothing more than frozen crinkle cut with a little o'bay seasoning sprinkled on them. My husband's cheeseburger came to the table minus the cheese and honestly it was just to much at this point to tell our waiter anything was wrong with our food, I'm not sure he would have done anything but prop up on the aquarium and ask us what we wanted done about it.
Neither of us finished our meal. We paid the bill leaving only the change as a tip.
Hope this helps someone. Maybe the owners will see this and make changes in staff or the attitudes of the staff, possible that staff was family.

We went for lunch. Very good lunch specials Mon-Fri. The restaurant has been updated over the past few years. It is bright & open. Service was very good and portions were good for the special price. Food was delicious!

The food was great, came here two separate times while on vacation, the first time we sat inside, the inside staff were extremely kind, the second time we were sat outside and did not have the same experience with staff unfortunately.

Live bait (sharkys) has always been a go to on vacation, unfortunately tonight will be the last time I will ever visit. The worst service in Orange Beach, Alabama. If you want good food, I definitely recommend McDonald’s over this place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I rate this place 1/10.

We ate here Friday 8/16/24 and we had the worst food that we've ever had while visiting the coast in the past 30 years. We had fried pickles for an appetizer that tasted like they were freezer burnt. My wife ordered the crab cakes that came out with some type of green sauce on top that was supposed to be crawfish etouffee and it was inedible, I had the fish tacos that did not have any taste at all. There was a gentleman playing music that was obviously tone deaf and was also completely too loud for such a small room. No drinks, just appetizer and horrible food $82 and we won't be back!

The waiters clean off the outdoor tables and throw entire alcoholic drinks in the water, including the straws. Keep in mind there are turtles and other animals inhabiting the water here. An employee was bussing a table and threw every straw and drink in the water. Food was good though, hurts my heart to think about what else they might toss out to the animals.

Not the same quality of food and service that it was 1 year ago.

They no longer have Gator bites.

If your ONLY eating seafood: Grouper was top notch. (They did "run out" of grouper a hour before closing time. 1 person at our table got Grouper. The others had to choose differently) Peel and eat shrimp are huge and have a great flavor. Mahi Mahi was also a good choice. Raw oysters were cold, fresh and large.

If you plan to eat Chicken or steak: DON'T!!! Lol. Both options had zero flavor.

We sat in the bar area so that our party of 6 was able to be seated without a wait. We visited in Aug 2nd. The huge fans in the bar area cooled the patio well enough.
The atmosphere (and turtles. Lol.) Were enjoyable enough.

BUT!!! If you choose to sit in this area, do not expect the best service. It appeared to me the bartenders/wait staff were more focused on having a good time than making tips.

Wheelchair accessibility: They do have a ramp and boardwalk to make it possible for a chair to get to the bar and bar area easily.

Neat spot in Orange Beach night club one side and other side fun outdoor Karaoke! Service good and drinks!

Behind the restaurant is 2 bars. One is Karaoke, the 2nd has a DJ and the dance floor is always full on Friday or Saturday nights! I have partied on both sides & everyone was having a blast every time I have been here. The DJ bar (Live Bait) charged 40 a person to get in. I believe some well know DJ was there. The Tiki bar with Karaoke is free entry.

Food was terrible. Shrimp was rubbery like frozen shrimp. Fish had no taste and fries were extremely dry. Kids got a chicken basket and hamburger basket, hamburger was plain and had no flavor, same with chicken. We came at a not busy time and it took 30 minutes to receive our food. The turtles are cool to look at but I do not recommend their food.

Recently changed their name to Sharky’s. The food was not good at all. 7 of us went July 6, 2024 and no one finished their meals. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
