The vibe of the place was fantastic. Food was good, but the service could be improved.

Conveniently located next to the Courtyard by Marriott. Service was good, but the interior needs a bit of an upgrade. Food was above average.

Husband and I went here for happy hour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our bartender/server, Shay, was great! Beef and Blue wontons and raw oysters were phenomenal, and at a great price! The house margarita was a winner for me. It’s a cozy atmosphere that I highly recommend.

At least the sights were good, even if the fish was not.

We ordered online to go. The family meal of shrimp alfredo and Bienville oysters. The shrimp pasta was pretty okay and came with salad, dressing and rolls. It was a pretty good value. However, the Bienville oysters were the worse oysters that I have ever tasted. They smelled unpleasant and the taste me gag. I literally ate 1, spit the 2nd one out, and threw the rest away. I didn’t make an attempt to take it back or anything. The oyster recipe needs to re-evaluated and revised. I eat oysters often and was extremely disappointed.

Josiah was one of the most compassionate, attentive, encouraging, and respectful servers we have ever had. MM158 is very lucky to have this outstanding person on staff.

Very good. I got the fish of the day. It was delicious. And I got a chocolate cake that was mouthwatering. We watched the dolphins jumping out of the water as the sun set.

Kid-friendliness: Pretty kid friendly.

We chose to have a dinner instead of a wedding reception for our destination wedding and Mile Marker 158 Dockside was the perfect place. We had a personalized menu with several entrees, salad and dessert to choose from. The taste and presentation of the food was OUTSTANDING!!! Our guests talked about how good the food was for several weeks. The Wharf Catering Group staff were very responsive and kept us updated on everything. On the day of the dinner, Sheryl and the servers were very attentive to the guests and made it such a beautiful experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

One star for the theft.

Check your receipts carefully. This place is stealing from customers by running their cards for more than the amount due.

Food is good. Service is less than stellar.
Our server walked around for 10 mins with our card and when we requested it she hadn’t ran it yet. They were not busy. We were a party of three and there were only 3 tables occupied.
Our waitress danced around and sang while we waited for our card.

Then charges us $3 dollars more than we’re supposed to be and argued with us about it.

THEN tried printing a new ticket to match the discrepancy. Fortunately, my husband retained his original because without that they were going to blow us off. Until he produced his original copy.

They acknowledge the total we were charged was wrong as my husband calculated it right in front of her and showed her. This included the $2.79 CC fee, so the “mystery charge” is something else.
She had no explanation at all.

She said “that’s just how our computer calculates it”. This prompted me to ask how many other people this happens to?
She had no answer to that. And just stared at us like a deer in headlights. Like someone who’d being caught doing something wrong, like stealing.

I thinks it’s safe to assume anyone who is paying by card is getting charged a “mysterious extra” charge.

This was, until tonight, one of our favorite spots.
As locals were often asked for recommendations and due to the nature of our occupations, we answer this question multiple times a day.

We’ve always recommended Mile Marker 158 and did so just earlier in the day. Never again. In fact we will very vociferously encourage all we know and meet in the future to avoid this place like the plague.
How unfortunate.

Y’all are stealing from customers and you know you’re doing it. This is so disappointing. How much have yall collected from unknowing customers?

So is this just a scheme y'all use during concerts and big events (hoping no one will notice) or do y’all just do this all the time and we’ve just not noticed before tonight?

VERY SHADY. Photos for proof.

Food was great and so was the staff. The steak was a 9.5 out of 10. Wine was great as well.
