Petes Ice Cream and Donuts

Staying at Gulf State Park from Atmore and googled ice cream 🍦 shop and it led us to Pete's. Great food and service!

Pete’s Ice Cream is a sweet stop with delicious sorbet and creamy ice cream that hits the spot every time. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the charm. Whether you're strolling the area or just craving a cool treat, it’s a must-visit for laid-back coastal vibes.

And if you have allergies, you know how rare it is to find an ice cream shop that is safe! Very cute shop super convenient located almost right between Orange Beach and Gulf Shores off the main strip. If you go by there, tell them Stacy sent you!

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever eaten! Such a cool set up and great customer service. SO happy to see dairy free options. Our baby got to try ice cream for the first time because of Pete’s! Definitely the best vanilla I’ve ever had! Loved the cherry pie and chocolate too!

Went here tonight with my family and I do have to say, I prefer this shops ice cream over Del’s. The ice cream is so smooth and it just taste better. Wish they had more options though. The staff were super nice and helpful and the location was great!

The best ice cream i have ever had, great flavor and texture. You can tell it is made with quality ingredients i got the chocolate Carmel coffee. AMAZING! All four of us love it you can not go wrong here!

Family enjoyed Petes Ice cream, we came two nights in a row! Just know the lobby has different hours, not sure what they are but we came at 10:15 and they wouldn’t allow us to sit inside saying the lobby was closed (noticeably they just mopped and stacked chairs but still allowed customers to buy candy from the candy bar area).

Okay place, service was ehhhh...Ice cream was good, kids liked the apple pie and blueberry... but super expensive in my opinion. $28 for a kids cone, reg cone and small bowl.

Got two pizzas & 2 drinks around the corner for the cost of 3 regular ice creams and a tiny bag of candy.

Hard pass.

If you or your kids have a NUT allergy THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YALL! 10 years my son went without having ice cream at a parlor. Sadly every place ruins it with 1-2 nuts in their ice cream or worse their ice cream is nut free but their toppings are your typical nut ingredients. This place also has amazing NUT FREE DONUTS! BTW SAMUAL IS THE BEST! I can tell people’s character and I’m telling you this is the face of a company everyone needs to experience! Great company, great ice cream, great service!!
