Lines long your employee is rude and your products overpriced for what it is. This is the most expensive icecream around my opinion…. Save your money people, just got to public’s and get some bluebell
Donut machine broke down. Creamy but didn’t have a lot of flavor in the M&M brownie brittle, strawberry was okay.
Cool place for ice cream
Way Over priced, not many options
This place has amazing ice cream and such amazing people that work here!
Update to original post (below).
We visited Pete's Ice Cream again today. It had been some time since our original post and we thought we would try again. We bought two waffle cones, each with two scoops of ice cream.
The ice cream was still good but the attitude of the employee who served us was no better than that of the young man who served us last time. Surely there are young people who want to work and who have a friendly, welcoming attitude.
Also, neither of our waffle cones were fresh. They were soft, not crunchy and we ended up throwing the last parts away.
There are several places to buy good ice cream in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores so this was our last visit to Pete's.
The ice cream is good but the attitudes will prevent our return.
Original post:
We have stopped in at Pete's Ice Cream numerous times. The employees have been friendly and the ice cream has always been delicious.
But, today must have been a bad day. The young male employee who served us apparently didn't want to be at work and his attitude clearly communicated that he didn't care whether we were there or not.
If this had been our first visit to Pete's it likely would also have been our last. But since we've had enjoyable visits previously we will simply write this one off.
Maybe our next visit will be more pleasant.
Best ice cream
Ice cream was ok, but flavors were limited, and portions were small for such high cost.
I was excited to try Pete's based on the reviews, but my experience wasn't as enjoyable as everyone else's.
They didn't have any donuts at all because they said they were understaffed.
Several of the ice cream flavors were sold out.
I chose the cookies and cream flavor in a waffle cone bowl. It was less than desirable and honestly gave me a stomach ache.
The ice cream was delicous!

This ice cream is fabulous!!! Our group tried 6 flavors between us. They are all amazing! Highly recommend!
Great beach-ice cream joint. Delicious offerings. Donuts aren't served after Labor Day anymore, so that is the only knock that I have on the place. Otherwise, it's our favorite ice creamery on the Alabama Gulf Coast!

We went last night while on family vacation and it was amazing! The owner was super nice and very accommodating! No doubt the best ice cream we have ever had!

This ice cream is by far the best in the Orange Beach area. First, unlike other places around who say Homemade while using Hersey Ice Cream (just ask them when you order), Pete's is truly made in house with fresh cream. You don't need toppings as their ice cream has fresh add ins mixed in like cookie dough, Carmel apple, chocolate cake to name a few. Best of all its owner operated and their employees are top notch like Brandy. Try it and you'll be a regular like me.
Awesome service! Delicious and great variety of ice cream.
