The Italian food in the south is a joke, but if I want some pasta, this is my first pick. Good for down here.

Very disappointed. We found this restaurant last year and very much enjoyed it. We told many friends and and others how good it was.
This time it was very different, from no greeting on arrival to when we left. Our waitress seemed distracted and offered no help with the menu. My menu had breadcrumbs in it. The Stuffed Meatballs were very good. Our main dishes were not. No suggestions for desert. Our bill was a little on the high side for the experience and there was a 3% credit card charge.
We were looking forward to a nice evening and meal, but were very disappointed.

I would have give it a four star but while the waitress was nice and efficient she did not do anything about my complaint of the ceaser salad being mushy. I didn’t eat it and she seen that but chose not to offer me another or take it off the bill. That is not good customer service. The shrimp scampi was delicious the bread was great lasagna good stuffed meatballs excellent. It upsets me enough about the salad after spending 80.00 I can’t justify going back with the attitude of not caring about my salad.

Overall good experience, the service was excellent, had two kids and their spaghetti and meatballs and chicken Parmesan was very good. My wife got the NY strip that comes on linguine with a tomato sauce and it was very good. I got the gnocchi with tomato sauce and although the gnocchi appeared house made I would say they were made a little “wet” as they stuck to the roof of my mouth. The tiramisu was maybe the lowlight of the meal, wouldn’t recommend that. We had a tasty Valpolicella wine.

We had the best experience at Carmelo’s celebrating my mother’s 70th birthday! We had an entire room that they decorated, created a special menu for and had Natalie (who is absolutely amazing) take photos and videos that will last a lifetime. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were delicious. Their veal parmesan and lasagna are out of this world good! I would recommend Carmelo’s to anyone looking to have a big event as well as just going to have a nice relaxing meal!

The most incredible experience! We just had a surprise birthday party for a friend on her 70th birthday 🥳 Dawn the manager and sous chef were unbelievable. The food is amazing and atmosphere over the top! Over 30 people attended and were absolutely impressed by the food, service and complete party atmosphere!! I highly recommend if you’re ever in Orange Beach. You can go for a quiet romantic dinner to an amazing party🍾🤩🥳. Many thanks to Carmelo’s, Dawn and her staff!!!!

We have visited GS/ Orange Beach every year for the past 40 years. And one of the main reasons we have for coming down is for the fresh seafood. But I also love Italian so we gave it a shot and let me tell you I am so happy we did. The food and atmosphere was amazing. Let me just say our waiter though, TOP NOTCH! His name is Derek and he was so nice. He explained the whole menu to us, gave recommendations, answered every question and was so attententive to us. From now on this will be a definite stop when we are here.

I got the Ravioli special Wednesday evening and was so disappointed when I got home. I opened my bag to find that for $18.12 there were only 5 raviolis with a little sauce and a small loaf of bread which was seriously going stale. We normally love the food at this location, they usually make sure you have a decent portion but not tonight. Very sad!

Anna was our server and she was warm and welcoming and had fantastic recommendations for us. We got the caprese, lasagna and pollo focaccia. The portion sizes were massive- enough for 2-3 people. We will definitely be coming back!!
