If you’re anywhere near Orange Beach, do not miss Sweet Cone Alabama! This place is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with that sweet, nostalgic smell of homemade waffle cones and it only gets better from there.

The ice cream selection is fantastic, with both classic favorites and unique seasonal flavors that are always on point. Everything is super creamy, rich, and clearly made with quality ingredients. I had the butter pecan in a freshly made waffle cone, and it might just be the best I’ve ever had. And if you’re into milkshakes or sundaes, they’ve got you covered there too.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, southern hospitality at its finest. They’re patient with kids, generous with samples, and genuinely seem happy to be there.

Whether you’re cooling off from the beach or just need a sweet treat, Sweet Cone Alabama is the perfect stop. 10/10 recommend!

We visited last Tuesday the 26th, and meant to post but we’re just getting back from vacationing. The store looked great and the vibe was excellent. However, there was one employee helping the group in front of me wearing a jacket with sleeves that were stained terribly. We were just getting candy but I feel sleeves shouldn’t be allowed when you are dipping them in the ice cream to then serve.

We went in after dinner an the store was nice. Line moved pretty fast, but the kid scooping was wearing a jacket, and the sleeves were brown from Ice Cream. That was a big turn off to us. Don't think we will be back.

Went here after eating at The Wharf. Lots of flavors to choose from, not many toppings, but that’s okay. Had some candies available (taffy, chocolates, etc.) as well as t-shirts if you chose. Line moved fast and business seemed pretty steady. Parking wasn’t too bad although we were backing out & saw someone coming so we stopped & that person decided to lay on their horn as if we didn’t see them & stopped already, probably shouldn’t have been speeding through that parking lot but also we were backing out before they even showed up, guess southern hospitality isn’t so common around here. Aside from that, the ice cream was good and sweet. Kind of a weird area for ice cream as there was a liquor store right next door, lol, but that’s Okay it was still tasty.

This place is SO good!
Have tons of flavors. I had a scoop of key lime pie and the Coffee Chocolate Truffle. The coffee chocolate was so good I went back and got another scoop. All the help in here were so friendly . If you’re close by definitely stop and get any of their flavors. They all looked yummy.

Absolutely delicious!! Went several times while on vacation! Beats any other ice cream shops around, in my opinion! Great service and atmosphere, and clean! The ice cream is 10/10!

My favorite location

Lots of ice cream choices. Candy selection as well. Popular place. The kids each got 2 scoops of ice cream in a cup. Was $20!! But what do you expect from a tourist town. It was good.

Ice cream wasn't that great, The fudge was terrible, definitely a tourist trap. I was not impressed with peach ice cream because if it had any peach at all in it other than artificial peach flavoring and the raspberry was made with raspberry candies. I'd go to another ice cream shop or try to find a place not on the strip. Ask a local where they eat do NOT use Google. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 is because at least I wasn't home.
