Yo Ho Rum & Tacos

I was hesitant to eat here after reading the reviews, but we were highly impressed with the service and food here! We sat on the back patio which was such a great view. Our waitress, Antionette, was amazing! Food was probably the best we’ve had the entire week we’ve been on vacation!

Definitely a great lunch or dinner spot if you’re looking for good food!

We had 10 adults and 6 young children... every server's worst nightmare. Devin was the most gracious server, food was great, prices were fair, games and boats outside for the kids while we waited for entrees (and you could walk around with your cocktail). Managers pleasantly checked on us twice. Honestly, the best dining experience a large group could hope for.

The first issue I had was the queso being absolutely disgusting. And then all of my food was disgusting too dont get the street tacos or anything, for a taco place i was actually shocked anyone would even be able to enjoy going here or eating here. I doubt the staff even eats here. The limes are lemons but they keep saying they are limes which is cap, this is my only review ever because it is so disgustingly bad

We unfortunately had a very negative experience at Yo-Ho's. We were excited to see the menu so we stepped in for dinner and got to eat out on the water-that was about where the good part ended. Our waiter barely spoke to us and was not finishing his sentences. Once our food arrived, we were disappointed in the flavors. The seasonings were unproportional for each thing. The beans were very salty and dry, the rice was overcooked, the street corn was very sweet, and the various tacos we ordered felt like they had been prepared much earlier in the day. In the time I've known my husband, I have NEVER seen him not finish a meal before this experience. He was very disappointed to find that his guac was squirt bottle guac (like the kind from the store) and was slightly discolored from standard guac. I really hate writing negative reviews but we kept trying to give things another chance and kept being disappointed. We really hope that maybe we just had an off day, but felt it was important to bring to people's attention our experience. If we were here longer, we'd love to try again, but we were here for our honeymoon and will not be spending money here again on this trip.

Ehh, service was not great. It was slow and not very attentive. The food was ok but nothing special. I got the chicken and peanut sauce rice bowl, It was very dry.

im glad I didnt listen to the other reviews, we would have missed out. everything was great! wings were big and flavorful, tacos were stuffed to the max, chicken had a great flavor. happy hour prices cant be beat! great value, good experience, service was prompt and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. well be back!

We had dinner with a big group of 11. Immediately the vibes of the place were off. Seemed to be a lot of employees and some of them weren't wearing anything that identified them as working there. The food was terrible and bland. Would not ever go back.

If you want overcooked rice, over salted beans and weirdly sweet street corn, this is the place to be. Service was good, everyone working there was very nice. Atmosphere is good for a drink and their street taco was decent, but the place has an odor of underlying funk.

Taco Tuesday is the deal. Stay inside and hang at the bar for the best service. Outside was slow. I believe our bartender on the inside was Tom. Gave the best advice for the food, drinks and things to do at Orange Beach

The young male waiter was more interested in standing upfront and talking to the new hostess, than taking care of his customers! We ordered drinks and it took well over 10 minutes to get our beverages, and that’s only after I walked up to ask where our drinks were. Mind you, there was only four tables occupied in the restaurant. I asked for a lime for my beer twice, and never got it. The server was completely oblivious on how to take care of his customers. We ordered wings, and he didn’t bother to ask if we wanted ranch or blue cheese, he just put the blue cheese on the platter. Non of us like blue cheese. He was not friendly at all, just dull, like he could care less. Then, he stood outside And talked to customers at a table for way too long, and I could tell he wasn’t taking their orders, all this was going on, while we waited to ask for our check. This was by far the worst server I’ve had in years. I always tip at least 20%. or more, but this was the first time in years, that I didn’t leave a tip!

The fact that they could seat us immediately should’ve been our first red flag. Our party got split between two tables, which we were fine with. The first table had an okay experience. Food and drink orders were taken within a few minutes and then arrived about 30 minutes later. The second table had to waive someone down to even place an order, waited 30 minutes for appetizers, and then finally cancelled their food order after 45 minutes. The server tried to say our food would be right out, and then the manager said we had four more tickets in front of us.

They did comp our sodas and chips and gave us a gift card to come back for a second try, but we aren’t local and didn’t want to chance it a second time.
