Around the south, you’re going to see plenty of Huddle Houses and Waffle Houses. Personally, I prefer Huddle Houses as they generally are cleaner and have better quality food. This one in Owens Crossroads checks all the boxes as far as good comfort food, atmosphere, and service. Because of the area, most of the customers are local so you’re going to get that hometown experience. If you’re looking for a sit down meal that’s relatively quick, then give this place a try. It’s definitely a good alternative to a typical fast food meal. I had the smokehouse breakfast. Grits with butter and with pieces of patty sausage mixed in was my highlight of the breakfast.

Normally the food is okay there but this day was off. A piece of the cooking tool was in one of my baby’s food. The serving size of fries they gave my son was ridiculous. And when I asked for more they charged me. Not sure if the size of our party was the problem but they need to get it together.

Our server was Stacy and she was awesome!! The food was great.
The food was great! But a server named Miranda. Got our DRINK order wrong, and there was just me and my husband. When she brought the food out, she had her thumb in my gravy on my plate and after setting them down, licked the gravy off of her thumb. She was very , short, unfriendly, and just plain rude. I won’t be back if I see that girl there!
