This place use to be a thriving and excellent place to eat at. No more! The place has been turned over to son's, etc. who have virtually run it into the ground. Choices and quality of food is greatly reduced from previous experiences. They didn't even have packets of butter for diners rolls\cornbread, etc. They didn't have it yesterday or today and didn't know when they would have more. Staff is very under-staffed. Very dissatisfied and won't be returning. Will be closed very soon at this rate. Have already noticed a significant reduction of customers. No wonder!
Pretty run down, tables sticky, ladies room full of mold. I mean literally mold spores covering walls . Food was acceptable, pork chops good. Typical Southern country cooking, squash casserole, greens, sweet potatoes, etc. I will not go back.
Great food, a step up from the typical meat and three. I usually get baked snapper but many options to suit everyone.
Love the food and the people! You can't eat the atmosphere people! Awesome food! Do not miss this one if you love country cooking, veggies!
Good meat and three. Don't understand why they're not busy
First time experience today. Nice folks, cold food, no way it was fresh. Took two bites and my buddy and I hit the door. Tasted like bad leftovers. Under cooked chicken and hamburger steak. Cold, previously canned veggies. Disappointed. Will not be on my list of options ever again.
Great made from scratch good. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size portions at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
When you are hungry for southern vegetables or avoiding fried foods this is the place. Grilled fish is my wife's favorite, I like the variety and make up my mind in line. They will drop french fries and chicken fingers on request. When I get a hankering for beef liver and onions a call ahead confirms it will be on the service line when I get there.
Always excellent food and great service. I don't think I've had anything here that wasn't delicious. I eat here at least once a week and I always leave feeling satisfied and slightly overstuffed due to the generous portions.
It was okay until the end of the meal when I went to the bathroom. Talk about the whole experience being ruined! The ladies room was covered in black mold I mean covered. Made me wonder what the kitchen looks like and how they passed health inspection. I just can't in good faith recommend it to anyone

Great food, great service. I highly recommend the baked snapper or fried grouper. These are the 2 best fish entrees in B'ham area at any price. These are plus 3 delicious veggies for about $10, with homemade Greek style tartar sauce and home baked roll. Also try fried tomatoes which are excellent.
The food's good. The food is good! Its exactly what you hope for when choosing a Meat & Three (or two) for lunch. And while the food is the star, the employees who helped me were friendly and right on the spot with any questions I had. Good customer service is invaluable. Highly recommend.
They have the best beef stew on Thursdays. And today they had jalapeno cornbread and made from scratch banana pudding. Both were delicious.
Open 11a-2p Monday through Friday and on Sundays!!
