This place is great with very friendly staff! The chicken shawarma, lamb and kofta was delicious! Everything was clean as well. This will be one my new favorite spots!

Came with my family for my birthday so we got the Flavor Tray to get a bit of all the different meats along with baba ghanoush, hummus, and falafels. Everything was very good. The lamb especially was extremely tender and flavorful, but my favorite was the beef shwarma. The falafels were really good and crispy, and still moist inside. The employees were very nice as well. Overall would absolutely recommend, I’ll be back for lunch to try a sandwich!

Have heard nothing but great things about Shaami and it held up to the hype! The chicken shawarma, chicken kabob and beef kufta plates were all huge and delicious. 4 adults split the 3 to-go portions of these and there were leftovers still. Tons of space inside to dine in as well. Would be awesome if they setup a fridge to easily grab containers of hummus, baba ganoush and the other salads on the fly!

I was really looking forward to trying this place. I’m originally from the metro Detroit area and haven’t been able to find amazing authentic Mediterranean food since moving to Alabama and unfortunately still haven’t. Ordered 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches, after waiting over 25 minutes still no food. That wouldn’t be that bad if this was a restaurant where they actually serve you at your table. We walked in no greeting, could tell it was an eat in restaurant. Didn’t know if we should sit down or what. Went by the register and where they were preparing food, still no greeting. Decided to start asking questions in order to place an order only to discover the menu that was posted online has already been modified, the sandwiches don’t come with sides unlike the menu shows online. It was crossed out with a marker. If you want good consistent Mediterranean food in the Bham area, I suggest going to CAVA. Yes it’s a chain but well worth it!
