This was my third time at El Vaquero. I eat here when I visit my parents, two hours from home. Prices are good, food is great, service is excellent. I took my elderly parents recently and the staff was beyond kind and considerate.I've found a new favorite Mexican eatery away from home!

My husband and I came in to El vaquero today at 14:50 pm. They stop serving lunch at 15:00pm. They took our order @ 14:58 pm. Then, they come back and inform me that the meal will be 7 dollars more because it's after three. I told them I didn't want it, then the manager comes over and tells me that they will serve me the lunch portion but add 2.00 to it. Then, someone else comes up and tells me no they won't do it. So I tell them to just bring my husbands food and don't worry about mine just cancel it. okay fast forward To Them bringing them anyway. they charged me for the full amount. Weve eaten here for years but I wont ever eat here or at sopas again. EVER. Absolutely ridiculous!!

I order the Shrimp Fajitas. It was pretty good, just a tad dry. I would definitely add queso next time. Customer service was ok. The lady that brought the salsa had her index finger and thumb in the salsa so no one ate it.
Food was very bland. No taste. Avocado was terrible. Wasn’t hot. Warm food. Wasn’t the best. Wish I spent my money else where.

THE best mexican food we've had in the country in years-wow! Great service, prices & tasty menu options! Even had a nice cold ying-ling beer to wash it down. If you really like HEAT-ask for their 'hotter' salsa to go with the chips, it does not disappoint.
Wish the food I ordered was correct. Idk who was on the phone taking my order but they clearly didn’t care that night.
