I passed thru Phenix City on my way to PCB and on my way back home I decided to stop in and try some food. I'm glad I did. I'm thinking if I ever act on my food tour - think Triple D & Guy Fieri - then I'm going to sit and try a few things. You know what surprised me? The sauce! I was expecting some kind of thick, smoky, garnet-red BBQ sauce, but what I got was a yellow, spicy & smoky sauce - think mustard with less tang. It's good! They had the pickles...

This has quickly become my favorite BBQ place in the area. The pork is great and their hot sauce is perfect on it. The baked beans and brunswick stew are also really good. It's just good food for a good price, and thats hard to beat. The only thing I don't really enjoy is that the chili is a little sweet for my liking, but that could just be me.

The parking lot is a little rough so keep that in mind. The food is on point though. I had the 5 BBQ sandwiches for $5 and a chili dog. They make the food to order so be prepared to wait for them to prepare it or call ahead. I definitely recommend giving it a try though. Small country business so let's give them support!
