Stopped here on a Saturday night, from out of town. Downtown is dark at night and it's hard to tell this was a Mexican restaurant from a distance. The windows were wet with condensation from the air conditioner and humidity so you cannot see inside before entering.
From a recommendation from a local who was coming out of BBQ restaurant about 3/4 mile up the street, she said the Mexican restaurant is way better especially after dark because the BBQ restaurant runs out of things and is not as fresh. So I went to the Mexican restaurant based on her recommendation.
The staff was friendly inside Cocina Real. The food was fast and very good. The tacos come with dual corn tortillas and meat. Anything else you want on it is at a mini salad style bar.
They do charge a bit extra for credit card payment but the staff is very honest as when I accidentally left my credit card in the check (quenta) billfold, they ran out to my car to bring it to me before I drove away. (Thank you for this.)
I recommend this restaurant if you are in this area.

The parking isn't great, but the service and atmosphere definitely are!! It's always busy but I have yet to have to wait to be seated.

If you like to eat here then you don’t like real Mexican food. Everything tasted awful!!
To top it off they didn’t care. I guess if you’re not their regulars then you’re not crap to them. That’s okay San Andres is right down the road!!! Check them out!!

The authentic Mexican foods was just that authentic. The employees were all nice. Even the ones taking a break and didn't have to talk to the public was nice. Thanks guys.
Best Mexican restaurant in town.
What an absolute delight to find this restaurant when passing through. If you are within reach GO! You won't be disappointed. Absolutely delicious. My Son and I had the combo quesadilla, which was incredible. My Wife had the taco and enchilada combo - muy excelente! Hope we get to come back again someday! Oh, and churros!!
Do not sleep on this place. The best mexican I've ever had. Kristen was a outstanding waitress and the cooks make some fire Birra tacos.
If you think this is good tex mex...then you have been eating out of a can for years.
First time it opened ate a taco salad that literally tasted like plastic and smelled of it too.
Tried 3 more time only to be terribly underwhelmed.
