La Herradura Mexican Restaurant

Sadly, after 33 years, I’ve heard they have closed.
On the bright side I’ve heard that someone has taken over and it will reopen as a new and different Mexican restaurant soon.

Went today. Friendly Staff. The food is not good, cold. Can not make rice. We just left and eat at McDonald's across the street. Do not recommend. We was just traveling throught town

Great and friendly restaurant with some of the best food around. Plus it’s been around my ENTIRE life so obviously doing something right.. can’t beat the prices, food or the family/friendly atmostphere.

Not real Mexican ordered a taco salad didn’t get a shell then they told me they couldn’t take it off my tab after they took it back to the kitchen

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Roanoke. Family friendly environment, employees and owners remember you and usually remember exactly what you want lol. Very friendly, never any rude interactions. Food is always good. My 4 year old daughter can eat the salsa with the spoon, she loves it lol. We also love celebrating birthdays here

This restaurant has been the center of our daily lives for 30+ years. We have had so many gatherings/parties here throughout the years as well! Great food, great people, and wonderful memories!! They are family to us and we love everything about this place! Thank you Jose and family. We love you!

Parking: Plenty of room for all vehicle sizes

Kid-friendliness: Very good with custom orders incase you have picky children… or even picky adults 🤣.

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of spacious room to get in and out. Very helpful staff to help accommodate seating/wheelchair or walker needs!

We have gone to La Herradura weekly for almost 30 years. The owners are almost like family. If you are looking for a friendly, family oriented restaurant, you will love it here!

Kid-friendliness: We have two grandsons who sometimes have trouble being still. We feel totally comfortable taking them to La Herradura where they are always treated with patience and kindness.

I loved this place! It has that old-school Mexican restaurant vibe I’ve missed, and it’s super family-friendly. I tried the torta, and it was so good! The margarita made it even better.

La Herradura has a very family friendly atmosphere. The food is great and the people are so friendly! Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options. I have tried a few of them and they are very tasty.

Parking: There is a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant, always plenty of space to park. It’s well lit at night and in a very nice area of town.

Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs, booster seats and a great children’s menu. Children are always welcome there.

Wheelchair accessibility: La Herradura has plenty of space for wheelchair access. Their restrooms are wheelchair accessible. There are tables that allow for wheelchairs.

Friendly staff and owners. We love the cheese dip and the fajitas. We go there one a week and have since tgey moved there.
