This restaurant has been the center of our daily lives for 30+ years. We have had so many gatherings/parties here throughout the years as well! Great food, great people, and wonderful memories!! They are family to us and we love everything about this place! Thank you Jose and family. We love you!

We have gone to La Herradura weekly for almost 30 years. The owners are almost like family. If you are looking for a friendly, family oriented restaurant, you will love it here!

Kid-friendliness: We have two grandsons who sometimes have trouble being still. We feel totally comfortable taking them to La Herradura where they are always treated with patience and kindness.

I loved this place! It has that old-school Mexican restaurant vibe I’ve missed, and it’s super family-friendly. I tried the torta, and it was so good! The margarita made it even better.

La Herradura has a very family friendly atmosphere. The food is great and the people are so friendly! Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options. I have tried a few of them and they are very tasty.

Parking: There is a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant, always plenty of space to park. It’s well lit at night and in a very nice area of town.

Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs, booster seats and a great children’s menu. Children are always welcome there.

Wheelchair accessibility: La Herradura has plenty of space for wheelchair access. Their restrooms are wheelchair accessible. There are tables that allow for wheelchairs.

I recently visited here and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, with rich flavors and perfect presentation. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience delightful. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone!

The best Mexican FOOD in Roanoke! The cheese dip isn’t just melted pasteurized white American cheese, it has the best consistency and flavor omg. Salsa is fresh, food is amazing. 🤩

The worst dining experience ever. The first and last time we will eat there. The waitress had the worst personality and other waitresses had to ask us if we needed anything. I addressed the horrible service at checkout and was told that no one wanted to work and they were doing what they could. I said I understand but you will have no customers with horrible staff. I was basically told oh well it is hard to run a business. Horrible all the way around.

Very empty restaurant, staff was not friendly, food was not hot. They haven't had an inspection since 2022 which was hanging on wall. Personal stuff everywhere. Staff was sweeping carpet near guest table while eating.

I will always love this place. I love coming home just to come here to eat. I’ve been eating here since I was really young. It will forever be my favorite. No one makes a chile relleno like they do and I’ve tried them at every other Mexican restaurant.

I would not recommend this restaurant. First things first if I had walked to the restrooms I would walked out the door. This is the nastiness restaurant I've ever been in. Last inspection was in 2022. How does that happen? The staff was not knowledgeable, food was cold and not good. Please don't waste your time. I wouldn't have given them 1 stas but no less to score.
