Tex's Roadside Oasis offers the best BBQ in Alabama, even surpassing other locations. The smoked chicken, brisket, beans, and fries were delicious with generous portions. Despite being short-staffed initially, the food quality remained top-notch, especially the award-winning banana pudding. The pulled pork, sliced turkey, green beans, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese were all flavorful. The mild pimento in the macaroni and cheese made it child-friendly. Despite the initial staffing issue, the great food and service make it a highly recommended dining spot, sure to turn first-time visitors into regulars.
