Listen folks, I will be 70 this year, thank you! When I was a kid less than ten years my family would stop here on our way to Mobile and eat and drink root beer. Even though it has new owners it’s still a great place to grab a bite and root beer if you’re traveling past. A landmark and an Alabama treasure!!! My family enjoyed it and all the Granddaddy stories that go with it!!!

I'm sorry but this place was really bad. I got a cheeseburger and a cuo of their "new flavor" raspberry cheesecake ice cream. It took them 15 minutes to get my burger ready. As I waited I thought "that's OK. It must mean it's going to be awesome". Yall it came out just the saddest rinky dink little dry burger that might literally be the saddest example I've ever seen. Then I think "the ice cream will make up for it". Wrong again. Either something is off with their icecream or flavoring or idk but it had zero in common with either flavor mentioned in the name. I didn't taste anything remotely like raspberry cheesecake

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE SHELLFISH ALLERGIES !!!Food is a warm not like the fresh hot temperature, it’s mediocre in taste, you don’t get a lot of food for your money, the wait is very long, and they don’t have a lot of choices for people with a shellfish allergy because they cook everything in the same oil. They don’t have any type of Allergy warnings about shellfish anywhere so Beware!!!Vegetarian options: No vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: No Shellfish Allergy warnings and they cook everything in the same oil!!!
