I had a Smores mixed with Rocky Mountain Road Sundae. It had the perfect ratio of ice cream, Graham cracker crumbs, marshmallows, whipped cream, and cherry on top. My mother had the Peach and Cherry Ice Cream bowl. They were perfect. Display was beautiful. The shop had a lot of vintage design and my favorite , Betty Boop. They were very kind and good am amazing job in the ice cream. Not my first time there. It's a must go if you have never tried them before. The owner is very sweet and I love her business. Thank you Mrs. Payne

Been there a few times since 2022. Well served. The atmosphere can be tense when the place is over crowded, same with the parking area during lunch time. There are not many choices on the square so Payne's is the default choice. The eating area is usually clean, The bathrooms are very small.

We love Payne’s. We love the experience eating both inside and outside. The people that work here are always friendly and always smiling. For the size of the restaurant, I feel the food selection on the menu is perfect. And of course, the ice cream, there is enough variety for everyone.!

Paynes is a cool place to have a sandwich, slaw dog or just go in and have an old fashioned Coke float or banana split! The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly! They also have nickle scoops for the senior citizens on Thursdays, such a nice and thoughtful treat!

The best rueben around it was great everything! The banana splits are worth it! On Thursday Senior Citizens get $.05 (nickle) ice cream scoop!

Service and cleanliness are always top notch. Food is served fresh. You cannot get any fresher anywhere in town! Chicken salad, pimento cheese, shrimp salad, red slaw dogs are always great choices and town favorites. The owners are always giving back to our community and we are blessed to have them.

Always delicious and fresh food! Clean dining area with great vibes and service. Cannot beat their red slaw and white slaw dogs and Chicken salad!! I drove 1200+ miles and they did not disappoint! Owner and staff are fabulous as well!

A gem of a place. It’s a step back in time that will bring back memories of a simpler time. We take our grandchildren often and they always enjoy going every time. Don’t be fooled by the menu … everything is fresh and portions are generous.
