My husband got me on this place, as I’ve worked at 3 restaurants (2 bbq) and we love it! But Michael served me, I could tell he was having a bad day, so me being me, tried to cheer him up, and let him know I understood. He was “tired”. It was like I made him even angrier. I HATE dissing anyone, it isn’t the restaurant, but Michael, get it together honey! I’ll pray for you and hope you have a better day tomorrow and better attitude daily. Or if you’re going through something bad, even though I said,” atleast you didn’t lose 3 family members since April, house burned, lost our 2 dogs… but 5 stars for Tate’s!!! ♥️ Hoping he has a better day tomorrow. ? You’ve got this, Michael!

They have lost my business after today! Loyal customer here and just purchased two small BBQ plates over $20 and received boiled roast!? No bbq flavor or smoke! Smells like turkey and it’s gray in color!

We decided to try Tate's BBQ today 6/22. So glad that we did, the best bbq that will literally melt in your mouth. Such great flavor. We got the #1 family pack it came with meat chips buns side item (we got potato salad)and sauce. Also tried the slaw and beans. It was all fresh and so good. Also tried the fried peach pies and wow takes you back to your grannies kitchen.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE OWNER!! He should learn to speak kind to people who are trying to spend their hard earned money with him. I doubt i ever go there again and I’m telling all my family and friends so they don’t have to experience his rotten attitude and smart mouth ?

Terrible experience. I'm never one to complain however was treated so disrespectful today. As a small business owner and customer this was extremely unacceptable. You never treat your customers rudely!!! I went to the window to place my order and the Owner opened the window, pointed and grunted at a sign they had made up about NOT RINGING THE BELL IF THERES A CUSTOMER AHEAD OF YOU, WAITING ON THEIR ORDER. Yes there were 3 cars in the line for drive through and 1 in her car actually eating so how was I to know, so I rang the bell. The OWNER THEN SLAMMED THE WINDOW DOWN IN MY FACE AND WALKED AWAY.If you hate your business this much maybe it's time you move on. And you wouldn't have this business if it were not for your customers. You can delete this review if you'd like however "word of mouth" is the best, or in this case worse form of advertisement. I do know so many ppl here in Scottsboro that patronize your business, however I'm more than sure we will give this a second thought. if this happened to me, I'm sure it's not the first time.

They never have hamburgers but also keep them on the menu just so he can say "ain't got hamburgers" every time someone asks. Food is mediocre at best.
