The food was wonderful! I had crab cakes and my husband had shrimp and grits. We both ordered a cup of Gumbo. The service was terrible. We arrived at 5:30. Our ticket says it was opened at 5:42. We left at 7:09. We were there more than an hour and a half for just a meal. No appetizers, no drinks no desserts. Just 2 entrees and gumbo. There were 2 other tables that got there after we did and left at least 30 min. before we did. They had other servers, our server was Shannon and we felt like she forgot about us.

Waitress was excellent. Steak was not edible because you couldn’t cut it. Ordered medium well and got a very thin steak that was terrible. Waitress spoke to chef and he said that he would not do anything!

An incredible dinner at The Docks at Goose Pond on Lake Guntersville. An experience not just dinner!! Every single bite was delicious and amazing! The appetizers…grouper bites, fried green tomatoes, oysters on half shell, baked pimento cheese dip (who knew to bake it!) outstanding! Followed up with the star of the show - shrimp and grits…not your average…the absolute best I’ve ever tasted and I’ve tasted a lot!! Amazing actually! And the steaks looked amazing too! The owner/chef Mark and his mom Linda, who’s the hostess, were outstanding as was our server Brandy! Awesome creations of flavors that will make your taste buds very happy!! Plus a gorgeous view of Lake Guntersville with a sunset bonus! Highly recommend a visit for your dining pleasure!

Ribeye steak was excellent. So was the shrimp and grits. Desserts were wonderful too. Wonderful view of the lake. Drinks were great. Altogether a wonderful experience.

Located on Guntersville Lake. Rustic but very neat and very clean. Very friendly staff who seem to like their jobs a lot. Good menu choices. We had a pecan crusted tilapia. Very good. Unusually thick tilapia. Well-cooked. Large portions. Had hush puppies as appetizer. Very hot, good recipe , only $3.00. Hot coffee with frequent refills. Really nice waitress…Kay-Lee. Will definitely return! Will try to get there earlier so that we can see sunset over the Lake.

Chrissy at the bar making my favorite and the entertainment is great..It’s always a fun night at The Docks. Marks Steak to your liking is to die for and Mrs Linda’s desserts oh my.. You will definitely have to take some home with you for a midnight snack. To sit outside with that view and have a good steak with a glass of wine hey nothing better .

The Docks is amazing! Linda and her son were so kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. We had the shrimp and grits, steak, chicken, grouper fingers, and cheese fritters along with salads and bread/butter. On top of that, the views were breathtaking—perfect for a relaxing meal. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

I have never left a bad review as some things are explainable. In this case.... sorry, it was bad all the way around. When we arrived we watch the hostes count money and shuffle through papers. When we asked if they were open she sd she was to busy to help but someone would come help. After we were seated we ordered drinks, appetizer and entry. The appetizer was rubber shrimp and they were not cleaned as they had the poop veins. Nothing had seasoning. The Talapia fish was burnt on the bottom but they put that side down on the plate, rice was mushy. Again no or very little seasoning. We pay for what we ate or drank but they removed the entrees. Bad just bad.
