Wasn't busy when we stopped yet took a long time for food. Nothing wrong with food yet I didn't leave thinking I can't wait to come again.

The Docks is amazing! Linda and her son were so kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. We had the shrimp and grits, steak, chicken, grouper fingers, and cheese fritters along with salads and bread/butter. On top of that, the views were breathtaking—perfect for a relaxing meal. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

I have never left a bad review as some things are explainable. In this case.... sorry, it was bad all the way around. When we arrived we watch the hostes count money and shuffle through papers. When we asked if they were open she sd she was to busy to help but someone would come help. After we were seated we ordered drinks, appetizer and entry. The appetizer was rubber shrimp and they were not cleaned as they had the poop veins. Nothing had seasoning. The Talapia fish was burnt on the bottom but they put that side down on the plate, rice was mushy. Again no or very little seasoning. We pay for what we ate or drank but they removed the entrees. Bad just bad.

The food is NOT bad but it’s average, but I’ve been several times and I’m sure I’ll be back but the time it takes to get your food is ridiculous. The staff is very friendly and the place is very laid back just plan to be there awhile.

Not sure how the food is since we never got to try it. We were seated, then ignored for 15 minutes while watresses argued about who was NOT going to handle our table.
Not going to bother trying again.

Service and atmosphere were amazing at The Docks. My ribeye steak was super tasty and I also recommend the shrimp and grits. I didn't really care for the fried green tomatoes and not all of our food (party of 9) came out altogether. The drinks were like being at the beach but in Alabama ?. If you are in town I would give The Docks a try.

If you follow me, you know I travel with my pup. So I'm always on the look out for pup-friendly good food.
Before arriving, I verified my old girl was welcome. She was allowed on the patio with a leash.
Which brings me to my server. She was a delightful lady who worked very hard at taking care of her tables. She made sure our drinks were promptly refilled, including a bowl of water for my girl.
We ordered a fried green tomato appetizer. It came with two succulent shrimp on top.
My companion ordered shrimp and grits. They have sausage in them, which she's not fond of, but she picked it out and it was fine. They didn't scimp on the shrimp!
My fried catfish came with fries and a tartar sauce I'd eat with a spoon.
Well done.

Delicious food, really tasty, home made feeling. Chill, lake people atmosphere. Families and great easy music shows. If too hot, take a hoodie to eat inside because the AC is way to cold. Waiters are the best in these days. Desserts are a 10+

Went here for the first time last night! Staff are super nice. I really liked the grouper fingers as an appetizer. Price for food is very reasonable and portions are plenty! The live music was great friends of ours and they did a great job! We really enjoyed our evening! We will for sure be back.

7/18/24 Cheese fritters are amazing!
However, the shrimp and grits (the dish The Docks is famous for) was a soupy mess. I felt like I was sipping cheese with a few pieces of shrimp and even fewer pieces of sausage thrown in. S&G should never be runny! I have always liked this dish, so I was really disappointed and probably won’t order it again. It definitely wasn’t worth $22.

This is a nice place to visit for that lake life vibe. They usually have live music and you can watch the sunset on their large patio. The food was not anything too impressive in my opinion. Everything was kind of bland and boring but I don't think that's really why you go to a place like this. The staff was very night and they have some great drink deals. If you're in the area, might as well give it a try.

We went to the restaurant while on a Vacation from Finland. The atmosphere was amazing and there was good live music. The service was friendly and good. Although the service and atmosphere were good there were a few downsides. The Gumbo which we were served was cold. One of our group members got food poisoning and it left us disappointed. If we could decide, we would fire the cook.
