The last three or four times we went, they were just about everything. We loved this shop the first couple of years. I hope they get back to the basics!
Delicious desserts.
Not just a place for the kids. Some grown folk goodies that bring back memories of the good old days 😁. Funnel cake 👌, shaved ice, Great sandwiches. Prices are good- a little pricey; but everything is now. New entrees.. love club sand, pork chop, polish/ reminds me of Chi town. Oh yeah ice creams: hand packed & shaved ices

Good Service
During my research for our trip. I saw "The Candy Lady" establishment on the internet. Knowing that we were coming to visit Selma, Alabama and needed things to do for three senior citizens and two children. This I knew would be a great stop, and it did not disappoint. The shop owners were very courteous, friendly, accommodating, As well as knowledgeable about all the desserts and even the area. From the banana split to the crazy color ice cream to the most delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream I ever had. The Candy Lady will tantalize your taste buds, reinforce your Southern comfort, and definitely encourage your sweet tooth. When you need that sugar fix....The Candy Lady is where it's at.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??

Friendly,fast and good atmosphere
Nice local fried food and ice cream stand in northern Selma with a huge variety of both savory and sweet treats! They do not have indoor seating, but have a large porch and three picnic tables out front. Online ordering is available. There's a fair amount of parking along the side. Staff are friendly, and if ordering at the window, will text you when it's ready. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak, grilled chicken wrap with fries, Oreo cupcake shake, and strawberry cupcake shake. The cheesesteak was great quality on both bun and steak, though I wish there would have been more in it. Wrap and fries were good. Shakes were the real highlight, though; both great (strawberry tasted fruity and not artificial or too sugary), and messy fun picking apart to enjoy!
I stopped by to try the Candy Lady this week, and I can tell you that every city needs a Candy Lady! The menu is filled with anything you can possibly think of, from traditional wings, burgers and fries to funnel cakes, speciality ice cream shakes, delicious pies, candied fruits, only to mention a few.... Oh, my favorite, shaved ice! You choose your favorite flavor!Although, the prices were reasonable, They were confusing to some of the customers that were there during my visit. Posted menu price lists were not consistent.( I think, some prices were posted with or without tax.) However, I will visit again when I'm in the area.
Food was great!! Kids loved the desert. I would recommend to anyone visiting to try The Candy Lady !
This is a kind of cool eclectic place in the middle of Selma Alabama I had the pork chop there which was delicious
