“Nice atmosphere, great service and wonderful food. The owner made a point to stop at our table to ensure everything was ok and answer any questions we had. Would highly recommend!”
“Stopped by after visiting Selma and my goodness the food here is amazing. That brisket was so incredibly tender and flavorful. Folks behind the counter made us feel welcome even though we were clearly outsiders (we're Asian). Real homey vibe. You can tell this spot is a gem for the community. Lots of customers on a first name basis with the staff.”
“The most authentic, flavorful Mexican food around for at least 50 miles. I love Mexican food, and I have tried all the restaurants around. I don't eat beef, however the shrimp and chicken dishes are wonderful. The staff is kind and welcoming.”
“If you're traveling and see this on your "near me," just know that it's worth the time it adds to your trip!!!! Love this place and will definitely be back. Great food. IDC what you order, just eat it and you'll love it. Some of the nicest ladies at the front! Great customer service.Side note: Grab the bones for the dogs. They'll love you”
“March 6th I was in the area for a pick up and blew a tire on my 18 wheeler. I arrive not long after they closed but the ladies were kind enough to give me a lil info and let me park my truck there for the night while I got my tire repaired. Woke up the next morning, thank them and grabbed me a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and a nice cup of coffee for about 6 bucks. The food was great and thank you to the employees and owner of this establishment for being kind and providing services to us truckers. I for one really appreciate you guys!Sincerely,J.B. “Always like to stop here when visiting Selma. Clean, good view of the river, and nice people, as well as the food is really good and affordable for what you get. Had the fried catfish / okra and grilled shrimp, hit the spot for sure.”
“We stopped here during a big rain storm after seeing the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Saw the 5 star reviews and we were sold. Look no further for the best BBQ in the USA. We are from Texas. This was better than TX. We had the BBQ (well seasoned) Chicken, creamed corn, corn bread, Beef Brisket (moist and perfect), Collard Greens (as good as my grandma's- or better?) And Yams. (Yummy like candy). I imagine everything he makes is great. He is kind and offers a generous service to locals and road travelers alike. His restaurant will warm your heart and fill you up. Thank you, Dallas!”
“I’ve been driving by this place with the intention of stopping but never did for several months. I finally committed to try Sam’s Southern Eatery and I was glad I did. The jumbo fried shrimp highlighted Sam's Southern Eatery are true to their name of jumbo, with a delightful crunch revealing the tender shrimp within. The catfish was lightly seasoned and fried, achieving a perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness. I usually don’t enjoy okra unless it is fried hard and that is what they had. The Krispy okra added a unique twist, providing a satisfying crunch. The gumbo, a comforting medley of flavors, exhibited a rich blend that transported me to culinary bliss. A delectable feast that truly captures the essence of Southern cuisine. If you have found this review helpful, please like and share the review. You can also follow me. Have a great day!”
“There aren't many options for family-style, sit-down restaurants in Selma, especially for those seeking a place that's clean, values sanitation has a good menu, and great customer service.Mi Tenampa provides all of this. I highly recommend this restaurant as a dining option beyond fast food.We ordered the Chicken & Steak "medley" meal, Chicken and Steak fajitas, Steak Nachos and Buffalo Chicken Wings w/ Fries.”
“Such a great addition to the Selma area. So excited and wish you guys very much success! The food was great, the drinks were great, the customer service was great, and the atmosphere was great! I can't wait to go back! This will be our new go to!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetables/sides and desserts to choose from.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space and not stuffy. Very kid friendly.Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.”
“All I can say, is that if you eat just ONCE, at Sam’s, you will be back! If I’m in the area and he’s open, I’m here. Food is nothing short of awesome and only matches the family environment and friendly service.”
“When I'm in Selma at lunchtime during the week, I always go to the Downtowner. They offer a meat and three as well as the usual hamburgers etc. the food is delicious, and the service is great. The servers are all friendly and attentive. This is a basic downtown lunch place...nothing fancy, but comfortable. Try the Downtowner; you won't regret it.”
“I went here with my husband. We were looking for something different to try and came across this restaurant. The staff is so friendly and the food was delicious! I’ll definitely be back.”
“The best Chinese food in Selma, hands down. They have authentic fried rice, not the yellow rice with hard peas and carrots like the other Chinese restaurants. The fried dumplings are so good as everything they offer is.The buffet (take out only at this time) is always clean, the food is hot, fresh and plentiful.”
“Great food and service. Lots of interesting decor to look at as well.We ate the pulled pork, potato salad, fried pickles, baked beans and fries and everything was great! Fair prices too.”
