“Stopped by after visiting Selma and my goodness the food here is amazing. That brisket was so incredibly tender and flavorful. Folks behind the counter made us feel welcome even though we were clearly outsiders (we're Asian). Real homey vibe. You can tell this spot is a gem for the community. Lots of customers on a first name basis with the staff.“
“We stopped here during a big rain storm after seeing the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Saw the 5 star reviews and we were sold. Look no further for the best BBQ in the USA. We are from Texas. This was better than TX. We had the BBQ (well seasoned) Chicken, creamed corn, corn bread, Beef Brisket (moist and perfect), Collard Greens (as good as my grandma's- or better?) And Yams. (Yummy like candy). I imagine everything he makes is great. He is kind and offers a generous service to locals and road travelers alike. His restaurant will warm your heart and fill you up. Thank you, Dallas!“
“March 6th I was in the area for a pick up and blew a tire on my 18 wheeler. I arrive not long after they closed but the ladies were kind enough to give me a lil info and let me park my truck there for the night while I got my tire repaired. Woke up the next morning, thank them and grabbed me a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and a nice cup of coffee for about 6 bucks. The food was great and thank you to the employees and owner of this establishment for being kind and providing services to us truckers. I for one really appreciate you guys!Sincerely,J.B. “Catfish fillets were fresh and flavorful. The coleslaw was delicious, if you like sweet slaw, but not too sweet. The service was great. The atmosphere is unique. I didn't care too much for the camp stew but I'm sure a lot of people do.“
