Hands down one of THE best deals/food around! Downtowner restaurant has full meals consisting of your choice of meat with three, yes THREE SIDES and a drink of your choice for $11.99. Food is DELICIOUS and always served fresh and hot.🔥 Definitely recommend this spot for down home cooked full meals that are delicious, filling, and easy on the pockets! Cool little Diner, street over beside world famous historic Edmund Pettus Bridge! Austere decor... because of historic location could offer so much more in historic decor and vibe. With a decorator's touch and some historical memorabilia, could attract more return customers. Odd, they advertise as Buffet, but you get there, no Buffet.... you order off menu, a simple down home meal, meat and three sides. In my opinion, it could be ramped up to meet its historical location...
Had breakfast here after spending a night in town. Great little local diner with good food. Staff was very nice. A step back in time, very relaxing atmosphere.
