The Food Was Outstanding And The Service Was Good, Only Thing Is That You All Needed A Little More Help Up Front, But As Far As The Food And Service Go, You All Are On Point. We Will Definitely Be Back For More Good Food And Outstanding Service, Thanks.

I read several reviews and decided this restaurant would be a good place to try. My husband and I shared a BBQ pork sandwich, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and mac & cheese.
The BBQ pork sandwich was just okay for me, mainly because I’m not a fan of vinegar-based sauces. I did enjoy that the pork had skin on it. The fried okra was good, and the fried green tomatoes were decent.
Unfortunately, the mac & cheese was not good at all. I’m not sure what was added to it, but it tasted like it may have been reheated with some type of broth, which threw the flavor off.
Overall, the food just wasn’t to my liking.

I phoned my order in and was pleased with the young woman who answered and took my order. She repeated it back to me. When I arrived I had to wait about 3 or 4 minutes which wasn't a problem. It was lunch time and they were busy. I ordered a large BBQ pork sandwich plain with sauce on the side and an order of corn nuggets. I can never wait until I get home when it comes to corn nuggets. So I reached in the bag to grab one. They were piping hot just like I like them. I broke it in half to cool. They were delicious and fried to perfection. When I got home my bbq sandwich was just how I ordered, plain with sauce on the side and still warm. There was so much meat on it I could've made 2 sandwiches. It was also yummy with the best part being the skin. The sauce is always great with just the perfect amount of spices.
Great atmosphere and the best people as employees and customers.
I will be going here more often the turkey wings are the best and barbecue sauce it awesome. Lane for me. !!!!!!!😍

The best Bbq in town hands down !!
The food is good here, but the place is a mess. There's junk everywhere and the place needs cleaning. The service okay but lacking friendliness or even a smile. Next trip I'll go back to Lannie's #1 on Minter.

Was home yesterday and wanted to give my little girl the experience of some good food. Went to this one bc the real one was close; why does it close at 5pm on a Saturday. The experience from beginning to end was horrible. The hostess was blah. The wait time was 35 minutes to the point of me having to go to request to get food due to medical emergency and when we got the food the burger had 0 taste and the mac and cheese was watery as heck. I will N E V E R go back to this location and I ordered corn nuggets and they gave fries. It was a disaster and they know better.

Great food, friendly atmosphere, and sweet and kind owners; they make you feel like family!
Ugh..where to begin.
After being referred to this place by a local, I held high hopes. Let me begin by saying something good. The young lady at the counter was kind and attentive and very helpful.
Now the bad part and I mean bad. Place smelled of mildew. After ordering a half chicken. I was told 5 minutes later there was no baked chicken and opted in for the pulled/shredded chicken. When food arrived. I was surprised to see fajita styled chicken strips covered in sauce..
This was clearly microwaved Walmart chicken fajita strips covered in what became clear was ketchup mixed with water, clearly canned baked beans that weren't warm and still retained the can taste, frozen French fries and and a store bought cold roll. I refrained from eating this food after tasting it and left after it became clear what it all was. Just an utter disappointment. I did not complain or ask for my money back as this is a small business and noone was in there and noone came in while I was there. I try really hard to like places like this. But I just can't and you probably shouldn't either. Hate to say it but just go somewhere else. And yes I'm 100% positive this is the location.

I grew up in the Selma area but live in TX now.. However, let me tell you! Lannie's is the BEST eatery hands down. I ALWAYS order the whiting fish sammich when I'm in town. Never disappoints. My one wish... Branch out to Dallas. No whiting seafood spots here. We'd be millionaires in a month 🤣

Unassuming from the outside and not easy to find but food was wonderful and we were made to feel very welcome. We had pork sandwiches, ribs, fried okra, corn nuggets and potato salad. All delicious. Lannie’s son now runs the place and completely renovated it recently. His 92-year old mother lives across the street and keeps an eye on things from her rocker on the front porch.
Not sure how the food tastes, but quite frankly after the horrible attitudes at the checkout counter I’m afraid to eat it. Another $22 down the drain trying to patronize a black owned restaurant, one day I will lower my standards, but this place has a good reputation for the food, who knew that the service would ruin the experience. I simply asked for a receipt and you’d think I asked someone to wash my feet! Young girl with red streaked braids was whispering and seemed to rather get a root canal than be there and old lady was no better, just rude and disappointing, especially from someone who should be setting an example of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, not GREAT, but at least GOOD! I received the exact opposite!! Please DO BETTER! I could have gone somewhere else and would have had I known how much having paying customers would stress yall out.
