Unparalleled gulf view, excellent service. Yummy beet and goat salad and best chicken nachos I have ever eaten. They make the corn tortilla chips in house!
Our first time to the island for our girls getaway. We arrived and were seated right out front outside by the beach. Excellent view and high energy atmosphere. Mary Joe was excellent and guided us through the menu and helped us with local knowledge!...highly recommend! Have a sweater or jacket for cooler evenings!
Our group of 7 had a Super time dining on the patio. Katherine was a lot of fun as she gave us excellent service. The food as usual was delicious. Highly recommend The Sandbar and Katherine!
The hostess was so good and checked in on us several times. Ambienace and food were great.
Great location that improves as the weather improves. Great view, friendly informative service, yummy food. Sad that ceviche is no longer on the menu. It was the best in the area.
Great location to take in the beach and sunset. Prompt and curteous service. Will come back again. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Best feet in sand, view dining experience on island for dinner. Drinks were excellent. Main dish was 49, fish and risotto. Came not hot but warm. Service was outstanding. New ownership has brought changes, not all good. Food quality has suffered. Why are there no Gulf shrimp on menu? Still it's nice to sit and watch the sun go down, while having dinner. But you pay the price for the view.
The restaurant was difficult to find for an out of towner, the signage was very small. Once inside, there is a cute little boutique with a very distinctive order. It was pretty strong and smelled of sewer. I was personally disappointed to find the restaurant has resin table and chairs. Our waitress was awful, she showed up with her books hanging out, took our order and disappeared. She never checked on us and my hubby had to flag her down for our check. Food was okay, the service was disappointing and the smell in the boutique was simply awful.
We had a wonderful server, Casey. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and very patient with my elderly parents and answered all their questions. It was refreshing to have a server not try and rush you and enjoy talking to you. Thanks Sandbar and Casey!
The food was excellent. The overhead fans were unnecessary as it made the dining experience cold. Just bring something warm.

Rushed experience - we were served our main 15 mins after our starter, which we were still eating. One of our mains was cooked incorrectly which our server noticed and took back immediately, but didn't take the other persons. By the time the correct dish was bought out the remaining food was cold. No resolution was offered.
Grouper sandwich was fantastic as usual. We have been coming here for 25 years. Always fabulous experience, food and service!
Only issue was food related. Grilled shrimp was really good... I eat a lot of burgers. But this cheeseburger was terrible. It was undercooked, had an awfully hard and tasteless bun, and it had no flavor. I recognize it is a seafood restaurant and the crab cake appetizer was really tasty, but i obviously was disappointed with my cheeseburger.
Overall a good experience. Server seemed too busy to handle # of tables she had. Would return.
Got married here in 2021 and have been back every year since. Always lovely! Wonderful staff! And we won the sunset competition which was an added anniversary joy!
