I love trying local places on my time off from work but I can regretfully say I will never be trying this place again. Didnt have any kind of greeting or signs when walking in door so didnt know whether to order at a counter or go have seat on my own or wait to be seated, ordered the my food and got it within probably 10 minutes or so and I am sad to say this about any local place but all of it was awful. Chicken fried steak was a patty that looked it came out of a 80's or 90's school cafeteria and was not flavorful at all , mixed greens looked that had been poured out of can and just had water added to them, mashed potatoes and gravy was an ice cream scoop of potatoes that didnt even have flavor enough to taste like instant potatoes, and pinto beans were same way just poured out of can and maybe slightly warmed up, and corn bread that seemed to be more of a flavorless pancake. I am sorry to leave such a review of a local establishment but though maybe somebody would read this and think about somewhere else for lunch. Country cooking places are starting to fade away and I always encourage people to try them instead of big corporate restaurants but for this place is would have say dont go amd just find a meal in a bag somewhere else.

Service was really good, but the food was really lacking. They did however, have green tea, which is a plus. I don’t know how they could’ve sliced the sausage so thin I was hoping that at least would have country eggs. My opinion of the area was really raised when I went to the flying biscuit in Columbus, Georgia.

First time eating at Howies Cafe and I wasn't disappointed with my grits and eggs! Just had to add a little salt 🧂 to my grits but that's the only thing bad I can say about my order. Great price! Great food! Thank you! By the way I had the breakfast bowl 🥣 😋 yummy food and Great prices!

Decided to give their lunch special a try and was so disappointed. Food was not edible....threw it away as soon as I got back to work. Their meatloaf taste like a liver loaf and everything else is out of the can with no seasoning

1 waitress, no refills on drinks, very small portions, we were told to seat ourselves, bacon was very crispy, hashbrowns were overcooked, originally wanted to come for lunch but came too early so we tried breakfast & will not be back
