The food wasn't the worst we've had, but it was far from the greatest. The service was pretty good; our server, Lindsay was sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was mediocre. There weren't too many other diners when we went, but the atmosphere seemed kinda stiff.

First time here and it certainly won't be the last. Peach margarita was the best I have ever had. Chips and salsa were supper fresh and seasoned just right. Tamales were authentic and the shrimp brouchette was awesome. Server Karen was supper friendly and everyone who worked there were friendly and helpful. It's an older building but was clean . Thanks for a great start to our anniversary week.Richie and Sue

We were passing through Mobile and planned to eat here, since it was on the bay. However, when we arrived there were no cars in the parking lot and it appeared run down and closed. The listing showed that it was open. It was very perplexing. Seems like a great location.

Only Reason they got 1 star. Was the server and view. Cafe Del Rio on the causeway.... stay away!!! The first warning should have been the old, dirty, dark interior. The patio had a nice view though. 2nd, the smell of pesticide in the air did not help the ambiance. Still didn't want to judge a book by its cover..... well, the Tea was good, the Diet Coke was Good and the Salsa (pretty sure from a jar) was good. Everything else .... was NOT. I'm not sure if the dried refried beans around my plate meant is was microwaved or a dirty plate. We had to pull a mound of microwaved, oily, cheese off the "dip" we got to even get a chip into it. Then we tried masking the flavor with the salsa and queso but there was no saving it. We muscled through it until the immediate trip to the restroom made us stop. I didn't even take a picture of his plate it was so bad.I hated that the food and the lack of maintenance killed what could be great spot for dining with a pretty view. The young gentleman that waited on us was very friendly and very attentive so we did leave him a good tip. He's not the cook and could do very well somewhere else.

I would have rated this place a zero if I could have. I went their at 11:30 a.m. and there were hardly any vehicles in the driveway. The service was rude in tone. It was almost as if we bothered them to ask them for things. They were out of all coke products,Enchiladas, and tamales. The cheese cake that I ordered was moldy. The chips that were brought out were crumbled and could barely use them for dip. Service was horribly rude. The restaurant is extremely close to USS Alabama and a perfect spot for a lunch stop but, I would have drove out of my way to get better service.

This is absolutely the worst place for food of any kind in Mobile, The causeway, or all of the Eastern shore. Last time I was there with a group of 20 people, 4 of us got sick from their fajitas, others just didn't like the taste of the food. You are better off going to Taco Bell rather than here! Service was terrible too.

This place doesn’t deserve any stars! We came around lunch time and they were not busy. When we walked inside nobody was at the host/hostess station and we stood there for about 10 minutes for someone to walk up front and nobody came. We could see the staff walking into the kitchen and making eye contact with us and never acknowledged us.We will NEVER come back. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

The restaurants that have survived the epidemic have very fresh dishes, either greasy and heavy flavors, or the equipment is old, and they may not be able to renovate them. I like and add 5 stars to their dishes. The price is very close to the people

Great place for food and conversation! The staff were terrific and when they found out my friend and I hadnt seen each other in 9 yrs they let us stay and catch up after eating, they didnt rush us out and kept refills of drinks coming.

We came as a late afternoon lunch after visiting the Battleship. No one was in the very large restaurant which should have been a hint to us. None of the food is fresh. It’s all microwaved. All of it including the meat. The nachos were canned cheese and beans. They had microwaved the plate too long so the bottom chips were stuck to the plate. The brisket tacos were awful. The meat was again microwaved and had so much grease it just ran out into the plate. I didn’t eat more than 3 bites. My son is allergic to milk and eggs and we specifically asked for his food to have no cheese. His beans had cheese so we had to send his meal back. Our waitress was nice but she couldn’t make up for the horrible quality of the food.

Waited over an hour and half for our food, the waitress messed up our drink order which was just a sweet tea, coke and two waters. After 45 mins the manager comes out to retake our order. Saying our waitress had to leave on emergency. Even though she was walking around the restaurant. After all the struggles the manager gave us 10% discount and the district manager came out and said yeah yeah yeah you have had problems you need to be more forging like others and walks off. I will not return. Horrible staff from the server to the management. Joe is ridiculous!

This restaurant was a complete disappointment. My order was cold when it was delivered and I waited over 15 minutes to receive eating utensils which another customer got for me behind the bar .I ordered the shrimp stuffed with a jalapeño and wrapped in bacon. When it arrived I was hesitant to eat it as it had a dipping sauce to the side of Italian dressing.I asked for the bill and the waitress/bartender didn't have a clue and didn't know how many bottled beers I had .Then I received the bill and a tip was already included in my final bill and a line for a additional tip.WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!

We had lunch here. The restaurant is situated at the Mobile Bay Causeway, about one mile east of USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. The food is Tex-Mex and as we visited on a warm and sunny day we enjoyed dining outside. We had some nice burritos and drinks to follow. The food and service was okay and prices fair.

About six months ago, we ate here and had a great experience. The food and service were both above-average. So, we returned last night -- it was Cinco de Mayo -- but we went early and it was not crazy busy. First, they advertise on their menu having five different salsas, but only one was available other than the regular salsa. Ok. We quickly ordered drinks and appetizers. It took two trips to get our drinks correct, and then our appetizers did not appear until 30 minutes later, and they were cold -- not really easy when it is a cheese dip with meat and a shrimp dip that tasted like it had Old Bay in it -- it was not good. My husband and I got the fajita platter for two that came up with ribs, beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was pathetic what we got -- four very small ribs, four shrimp, four pieces of chicken, and four pieces of beef, laying atop some very overdone onions and peppers. It was not good and the serving size was pathetic. If that was the plate for two people, I would hate to see what the plate for one looked like. My son ordered barrio tacos and said they were really just so-so, my daughter-in-law got a burrito, which she did not finish. For the price we paid -- $76 for my husband and I -- we should have had a lot more food and a lot tastier food. We won't be back.
