“Boy am I glad we stopped in on our road trip! We split the Bananas Foster and the Veterano burrito. Wow. The burrito was huge and full of flavor. Perfect ratio of all the ingredients. Now the Bananas Foster French toast is something I will be dreaming about. Service was very friendly and helpful. Glad we got to place a sticker on the wall. We will see you on the way back!”

“After reading/hearing so much about Cheryl's Cafe, decided to try it. The pot roast and mash potatoes were excellent and reasonably priced, too! The only drawback is they serve the soda in a can. Sorry, but hate the taste of canned soda.”

“This place is pretty awesome! It was a recommendation from our hotel & it didn't disappoint. Located right on the water, the building and decor are of a hip "fish camp". Given the parking lot was full, I had a good feeling we were about to experience something pretty special. The menu was diverse wid a beautiful selection of local fresh seafood. They even have turtle soup! We had crab stuffed whitefish and blackened mahi. Both were absolutely incredible. Everything was spot on and very reasonably priced. A definite must visit if you're in the area!”

“Our first experience with California Dreaming was absolutely incredible. The food was AMAZING and the service was equally as amazing. I was impressed when one of the Co-operators, Michelle, came around to be sure our meal and service was good. You can tell the management and staff care about the quality of the food and service, which made this, by far, one of the best lunch experiences we’ve had in the area. We were too full to try the bushwacker, but it was recommended as well. While driving thru the area, Felix's had been recommended but had an 1:45 wait. We wound up at Ed's Seafood Shed and are extremely happy that we did.”

“Running a restaurant at the Fort Container park must be like playing a video game with your lifesavings at stake on hard-mode. The Container park is like a reverse Field of Dreams despite having a ton of potential. Restaurants here seem to flail and fail through a combination of crappy south Alabama weather and inconsistent hours. How many times have we finished the old "I dunno what do YOU want for dinner?" ritual to finally land on a choice located at The Fort only to find they are closed? Very frustrating.In the back of the container park nearest the road, Boom's Thai Kitchen has been the rare exception. The owner is a dogged hard worker managing to keep consistent hours despite the challenges that come operating a restaurant in this location. The food is always delicious and they are always very-very friendly. The portions are large and everything on the menu that we've tried is fantastic on site; travels well in To-Go scenarios.Try the spicy coconut shrimp with your choice of protein or the curry with a mixture of spices and sweet pineapple. Try the hand-rolled Boom rolls and their homemade chili sauces. Try it all, these people are great.”
