You can tell the management and staff care about the quality of the food and service, which made this, by far, one of the best lunch experiences we’ve had in the area. “This would be my fourth time coming to briquettes twice for lunch and two times for dinner. I would recommend this place to everybody. Their food is fantastic I don't care what you order their ribs are off the chain so are there onion rings. As far as the service are concerned the only one I really remember is Braxton He was our waiter awesome waiter he goes out of his way and I do mean out of this way to help you. I'm going to be going back again.“
“Since moving to the Spanish Fort area, I was craving a great sushi restaurant. Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar and Grill exceeded my expectations for sushi because the sushi is fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. I eat here about twice a month and the staff is always friendly and courteous. I highly recommend Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar and Grill to anyone who enjoys sushi if they are in the Mobile area.“

“It was hit and miss with the food items.Got the burger which was fantastic. The bone in chicken wings which were as well, juicy, meaty, delicious, also got the boneless chicken and that was a fail, dry and hard breading.Also had a margarita and that was good too.It’s on the expensive side in my opinion. “The people were friendly. The food was good that we ordered, no complaints there but we prefer the David's Catfish in Atmore, Alabama much better. Their coleslaw is better and if you don't want fried shrimp you have the option of grilled shrimp.“
“The staff were great. The food was served quickly. Pancakes were delicious. I'd pass on the hot chocolate next visit. If you can overlook the dust on the ceiling decor, this restaurant can be very charming. It has a whole retail portion at the front of the restaurant with toys, clothes and candy as well. If it's not too busy, you can even play checkers on the front porch from their rocking chairs.“
