“Had a late afternoon lunch. My husband ordered fresh oysters. Took a longer time to get them than expected. By the time they were served, main course came within minutes of getting the appetizer.Server was very knowledgeable when answering food questions and very pleasant. Unfortunately, I, personally think a server should ask customers within a few bites of trying the food, how the food is. She asked my husband at the end of the meal. Wrong timing.“
“I recently visited the Gulf Shores Diner with some friends and was blown away by the incredible service we received! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we were delighted by the diverse selection of dishes available. When it came time to order, our server was not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu. I asked for a recommendation, and she suggested the strawberry cheesecake pancakes with eggs, a meat and a side. Let me tell you, they were absolutely divine! Each bite was a burst of flavor, and I couldn’t get enough.Overall, our visit to The Gulf Shores Diner is now one of my new favorite places. The combination of exceptional service and delectable food made for an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!“
“This is a great find! Food is amazing, and they have a large beer selection. They have a dive bar vibe without being too dive-y. Also, they have a fantastic outdoor area! Would recommend the wings, tacos, and burgers. Bar tenders are friendly (shoutout Brad!). Sorry, no pictures because the food was too good to wait.“
“Exactly what you hope for when you stop in at a local diner - good food and good service.I stopped by for breakfast after a morning workout. I was seated immediately and my server had my order just a few minutes later. I thought the food was excellent and saw many other plates that came out that looked equally good. It’s definitely worth stopping by and checking out.“
“We stopped in on a whim. Restaurant was just a little down from our condo for the week. We wish we would have stopped sooner! Food was phenomenal. We started with appetizers and they came out fast. Kids menu was good and the chicken strips were more than enough. We also ordered some fried fish, the hangover burger, and blackened chicken Mac and cheese. Our waitress Kathy was extremely friendly, very attentive, and one of the most friendly people we have met in the area. All of the staff could be seen smiling, joking around with their customers, and definitely made you feel welcomed and appreciated. If we ever decide to vacation down here again we will definitely be back.“
“Off the beaten path, perhaps where the locals only, go...we discovered a small gem of a diner with smallish portions but tasty food. The waitress was a bit gruff but she warmed up as did the frigid diner after a few minutes... What makes me say, we'll be back?! I said the food was tasty but it's the visit from the Chef, checking on all his customers, and then talking up my father-in-law's alma mater! Did I say locals only, well, please include all the (in the know) snowbirds! BTW: they sell their mugs - and yes, we bought one! And bring your sweatshirt/jacket - it does get really cold every 10 minutes so you'll thank me :-)“
“There are reasons good bars are known as such and 1,100 reviews can't be wrong, as The Cove is a bar I recommend to all. Under the canopy of "concept," one can judge a bar just as Google has it laid out, by three categories: Food, Service, and Atmosphere. Consistently, The Cove hits high on all these marks, but if there was a way to give 6 Stars for Service, I would. Speed and accuracy are important qualities for a bartender, but really, good personalities always trump a menu or drink list for me. Beyond measure, Danielle, Gina, and Ashley behind the stick, the floor staff led by John and with honorable mention to Tina, the crew of this local gem deserves your visit. Usually great energy and music is coming off the small stage, the food doesn't disappoint, and I can usually count on the friendliness of the regulars around the pool table, which is a rarity when nary a one has beaten me...just kidding - but I'm serious about this review.“
“I have been to this Tiki Bar several times and highly recommend it. The food is very good and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. The staff is friendly and very attentive to any needs. This place is a hidden gem behind The Pines and you won't regret visiting!!“
“We were a bit disappointed with our lunch here during our time in the area. It came highly recommended, so we had high hopes, and unfortunately, they were let down. The atmosphere of the location is great. Tucked away in the woods with indoor seating, covered with screened patio seating, and a full open patio. You order your food at the counter, and they bring it to you once ready. Service was a bit slow to get our food. We came after the busy lunch hour in hopes of beating the crowd for faster service. You pour/refill your own drinks. We ordered the cheeseburger, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the 6 piece chicken tender plate. All which came with house-made chips. The only thing that was of any flavor was the cheeseburger. The chicken tenders were big, good quality, and the breading was light and airy, but there was absolutely no flavor to the breading at all. We had to add salt and pepper to the tenders to give them a bit of flavor. The grilled chicken sandwich was just as bland and flavorless.Very limited and pricey menu. I don't recall seeing a single item of seafood for lunch, which is odd being at the coast.“
“The same day “Call ahead” hold-your-place- in-line is great! They don’t take reservations. However, you can call, say what time you are going to be there, and they pre-check you in. We got right in despite a huge crowd on Valentine’s Day. Super friendly hosts and wait staff and our steaks were all perfectly cooked to order.“
“Our experience at De Soto Seafood Kitchen was nothing short of spectacular. We indulged in the Caribbean Platter, featuring coconut shrimp, jerk chicken breast, and grilled grouper on a bed of Caribbean rice, topped with mango fruit salsa. My wife couldn't stop raving about her dish, rating it a perfect 10 out of 10. She paired it with a delightful sweet potato casserole and a refreshing bushwhacker frozen beverage. While my Creole Platter, showcasing Crawfish Étouffée and shrimp creole with blackened catfish on yellow rice, was near perfection, the Crawfish Étouffée fell slightly short due to its under-seasoned green roux. However, after a bit of improvisation with Tabasco sauce and lemon, along with mixing it with the rice and shrimp creole, the dish transformed into a flawless 10 out of 10.The attention to detail extended to the beverages, with the club soda being the best I've had on the Gulf. Served with crushed ice and fresh lime and lemon, it was a refreshing delight. The hushpuppies were divine, and the sweet potato casserole was a crowd-pleaser. But the real star of the show was the Key Lime Pie, a perfect ending to our vacation. The manager's hospitality was the cherry on top of an already delightful experience. Giving us a tour of the restaurant and presenting us with a souvenir utensil added a personal touch that made our visit truly memorable. We left De Soto Seafood Kitchen with hearts and stomachs full, eager to return for another unforgettable dining experience.“
“We stayed nearby and this was the closest place for dinner. Was unimpressed with the online reviews (mixed) and how basic the menu looked, so I had zero expectations. This place hit it out of the park! Totally fantastic meal for me and my 7 friends. The place was EMPTY when we walked in, so that put me on the alert. But every single thing that we ordered came out fresh, hot and delicious. The burger melted in my mouth. Fish was tender. Onion rings were the bomb. Had a lovely icy dirty martini that hit the spot. Thanks Kiva for an unexpected fantastic experience!“
“Desoree... You rocked it girl! what a fun place! We were there at the bes time! No wait! Food was delish! Service was excellent!the view ... the boats... were fun to watch! Managers were VERY ACCOMMODATING! We have already bookedour next stay in Gulf Shores! Lulu's will definitely be oneof our annual trips!“
“Was looking for a nice breakfast spot to go on our way back home from an awesome beach week. At first the entrance was a little confusing because it is off the highway and in a golf and residential community. The signage could be a bit larger or more plentiful, but like most people, Google Maps and Waze will lead you straight to the front door.Walked in and was greeted immediately. The barista was extremely helpful and patient. Recommended the Brown Sugar Latte, and had plenty of non-dairy options. The coffee was amazing! Also order the Classic Bagel breakfast, which was 2 eggs any style, crispy back (YEA!!) and real cheddar cheese. So many options for different breakfast sandwiches and bagels. And they have Conecuh sausage! Has pastries and plenty of sweet treats. The view is of the 1st tee box and the 18th green. Excellent spot for an adult beverage, plenty of coffee options and a full breakfast and lunch menu.“
“Some of the best green food I've ever had. The gyro platter is amazing! The flavor, the portion, the quality....it's really good! The Greek salad is really good too! And the baklava is heavenly! Nothing like homemade real Greek food!“
“Madison was our server and she went above and beyond to make our first time experience the best experience we could have out here in Gulf shores. She’s probably one the the best servers I have encountered, being in the food industry myself, and that’s not easy to come by.“
