This is a fast-paced restaurant, and because it's both small and popular, there may be a wait during busy times. The building is a little older, so seating can feel somewhat tight depending on when you visit, but that has never stopped me from coming back.

As a plus-size woman, a parent, someone with high anxiety, and a mom to an autistic child, feeling comfortable in a restaurant matters a lot to me. CJ's has always felt safe, welcoming, and comfortable for my family. The staff have consistently treated us with kindness, and that keeps us coming back.

“My husband and I visited this evening for a date night. It was our second time coming (we visit once a year from Ohio). We both had the shrimp and grits, and it was FANTASTIC. So flavorful!! The portion size was perfect, and we both left stuffed. The view from the deck is beautiful, overlooking the water, with pelicans flying by, and our waitress was very nice. “Foosacklys on nine mile has been the greatest tender experience I’ve ever had. Prices have been consistently cheaper than any other tender spot in Pensacola, the chicken is the appropriate size, and the flavor is spot on as to what I expect from a chicken tender.

Being from Ocala area, I dream of traveling to Pensacola for this chicken. The ranch and foo sauce are absolutely perfect to pair with the chicken. I’ve paid extra to bring their sauces home.

The service at this store is off the chain. Every experience I’ve had at this store, the employees are friendly and prepare the food ASAP. I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes for my food.

The food is better, meeting our expectations, the people are friendlier, particularly Cleo who always remembers us and is warm, joyful and welcoming.
