“Fun stop for dinner on our way to Fort Walton Beach.

It has a new name: Derailed Diner.
The entrance is located on the South side of the TA Travel Center, but is also part of it.

The atmosphere is fantastic! You're greeted by 2 railroad signs that chime and light up as you walk up to the restaurant. They have an actual front end of a Cadillac emerging from the wall. It's painted pink, of course! They have two pickup tailgates set up as tables. And the wall in front of them is painted to look like the rest of the truck. Lots of travel literature and such encased in the tables. They have train seats and airplane seats. Lots of cool things on the walls like roller skates, skis, sleds, bicycles. The kitchen was painted to look like a school bus. Very fun place. I'm sure that kids would love it.

We had breakfast at 8 PM. It was delicious and reasonably priced. They had the usual diner-style menu with breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches. The menu said Gluten-free bread was available, but they didn't have any so I got fruit instead of toast.“
