“What a great experience we had here! The Caribbean bowl was delicious. The kids meals were perfect for my little ones. But the service we got from Allyssa made the whole experience a 10. She was polite and attentive. Would definitely go back!“
“We had a party of 50 for my grandsons baseball team and also his birthday. Will was so nice to work with us to insure the seating and great service. Julia was one of our servers and she did an excellent job on taking all orders in a timely matter. Our food was great. They also sang happy birthday with a sombrero on his head. Fun time and we will be back. Thanks again Will!!!“
“Catrina with a C was amazing. We loved the food and drinks and had an amazing time! She remembered our order without writing it down and checked in on us. Thanks for an amazing experience and date night Catrina! We'll be back!Parking: Come here and enjoy the food, you're not going to be disappointed!“
“I and my husband stopped here to eat while on vacation, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic, I had a grilled chicken salad which had large strips of chicken breast on it and the quantity was plenty sufficient, my husband had a burger that came with fried green tomato on it and I believe it was called OMG sauce which had seafood in it, and we had small cups of swamp soup, it was really good.“
“Had a late afternoon lunch. My husband ordered fresh oysters. Took a longer time to get them than expected. By the time they were served, main course came within minutes of getting the appetizer.Server was very knowledgeable when answering food questions and very pleasant. Unfortunately, I, personally think a server should ask customers within a few bites of trying the food, how the food is. She asked my husband at the end of the meal. Wrong timing.“
“Off the beaten path, perhaps where the locals only, go...we discovered a small gem of a diner with smallish portions but tasty food. The waitress was a bit gruff but she warmed up as did the frigid diner after a few minutes... What makes me say, we'll be back?! I said the food was tasty but it's the visit from the Chef, checking on all his customers, and then talking up my father-in-law's alma mater! Did I say locals only, well, please include all the (in the know) snowbirds! BTW: they sell their mugs - and yes, we bought one! And bring your sweatshirt/jacket - it does get really cold every 10 minutes so you'll thank me :-)“
“We purchased fresh fish and oysters to take home. Also ordered the shrimp basket for two and they cooked it for free. Came with shrimp, sausage, small potatoes and corn on the cobAll for $20.....More than enough food for two people. Free recipes to fix your sea food. Friendly helpful staff.“
“This place is a local's favorite. We know the menu and all the off-season specials. And we know the best nights to come. It can be swamped, so please give the help some respect and patience. If you're anxious about getting a table, just sit at the bar and have a drink. Really, please . . . give the rest of us a break and just chill. You're at the Beach House. If that doesn't help you relax, no one can help you.“
“Gulf Shores Seafood, a takeout gem, is a seafood lover's dream. Their snow crab, priced seasonally, comes in convenient two-cluster portions, approximately a pound in weight. The crab's taste lives up to high expectations, delivering a delightful seafood experience that's perfect for takeout enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this culinary delight!“
“Love this restaurant. Great consistently good quality food. Fried oysters, fisherman’s platters, salads, gumbo and the rolls are great as well. We have eaten both lunch and dinner here many times.Parking: Parking can be difficult here but street parking is available.Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 floors here. The upper floor is nicer and noisier but NOT available for wheelchair access.“
“This place recommended to us. The food was very good. I had a bowl of the gumbo. A cup would hsve been plenty. It was delicious. My husband had mahi with pecan sauce and he was pleased. I also had key lime pie. Not quite the best I have had, but still it was good. Our waitress was excellent. Would definitely recommend.“
“The alligator bites and blackened grouper were amazing! Mel our server was the topping on the cake! Our group can be demanding at times, but she took care of us just as a lioness would care for her cubs! You grrrrrr girl!!!! Great job Mel! You are a rockstar!“
“I have been to this Tiki Bar several times and highly recommend it. The food is very good and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. The staff is friendly and very attentive to any needs. This place is a hidden gem behind The Pines and you won't regret visiting!!“
“I was there this past sunday, I love the raw oysters it's very good, however the charbroiled oysters that I requested to be lightly cooked is too done! In the past I always come to this restaurant and request the same lightly and it delivers very good but I was disappointed on my last one, I don't even see the oysters at all and it became so salty. Sorry we forgot to take pictures we only do the raw oysters.“
“Good authentic Mexican food & $1.99 margaritas on Wednesdays. I had there wet burritos and it was loaded with beef then covered with there sauce, cheese, lettuce which was plenty for one. The menu is very extensive & one has plenty to choose from.“
“We are visiting from Atlanta and when we mentioned coming to Lulu’s was met with “why would you go there?” From a local.Boy are we glad we did!! We both had the blackened grouper and side salads. The salads were so fresh and soo yummy!! The grouper was perfect and well seasoned. The green beans were great. Everything was wonderful! Mo was our waitress and she was prompt and attentive. We had the best time!!! The live music was awesome as well!!“
“You cant go wrong with the food here, always good. But my favorite thing to get are their Raw Oysters they have for a Winter sale price. Best deal on the island, 79cents all day, every Tuesday... I ordered 2 dozen bc they are a great size and so fresh tasting... If i lived here all Winter, i would go every Tuesday... It's a bummer this isn't offered year round!“
“We brought our two children (7 and 9), which was a challenge for our picky eater. But you don't come here to feed your kids. You come to experience delicious food with local ingredients served by warm and welcoming staff. We had the seafood tower, which had fresh seafood, including lobster, shrimp and oysters that were all fresh and delicious. The Ceasar salad was good (not great) but the chicken with cheese and prosciutto was delicious in a creamy sauce with peas and other greens. There were too many delicious items to pick from, so we're going back! Lamb, steak and pasta are all calling for us!Kid-friendliness: Definitely accommodating for kids, but the menu is missing chicken fingers and other basics for picky eaters“
“Wonderful lunch. Food was really good. We ordered crab cakes, house red fish and catfish. All were really excellent. Nice sauces of redfish, light breading on catfish and crab cakes. Everything was fresh and just enjoyable.Service and drinks were excellent. Price was 1/2 what we spend in Vegas. Just a really enjoyable meal“
“The best experience ever! The staff were so kind, and even stayed open later to accommodate our large group. Food was amazing, but our waiter, who we affectionately named “Medium” Jay was the ultimate show stopper. Definitely a must do if in the area!“
“Surprisingly good prime rib and an excellent value for several early bird specials, most notably the single crab cake on rice for those who want to sample extra menu options. Crispy, thin onion rings were exceptional! 1/2 lb shrimp was offered hot or cold — but was overcooked. Crab boil was as good as any around….Waiter Abigail was attentive and well-informed on the menu choices. Only major drawbacks were the dirty decks outside and the completely neglected outside grounds which were unacceptably overgrown with weeds.Parking: Ample parking and handicapped parking though lower parking lot/landscaping is completely overrun with weeds.“
“It really isn't possible to describe how much I love this place. Anyone who knows me already knows this. I come here every chance I get. It's the people that really make the difference. Seriously. You can get food at any restaurant, but you can only get the people at Sea N Suds - here. Some of these amazing people were here when I would stop in for a beer in the late 80's. The Tiki bar, the servers, the hostesses, the outside seating area, the deck overlooking the Gulf (literally) This is one of the only restaurants that actually sits out on the beach. Just sitting outside, after hugs and handshakes from the people here can actually rescue the worst of days. If I wasn't just there a day or so ago, I'd be getting homesick for it right now. This is a comfort haven for real people. If you prefer a chilly, shiny place with glassware and cloth napkins, well . . . We'll likely never meet. Not at Sea N Suds, anyway . . .Parking: Remember to drop any older guests at the foot of the boardwalk up to the restaurant. Ample parking is across the street next to the Island Market. The restaurant is behind the Boardwalk Condos by Young's Suncoast. Pull in there and drop your guests off, then after parking, it's just a brief walk for the driver. C'mon! You probably need it!“
“SASSY BASS is a great find near Gulf Shores, AL and our server, Kalin, made it delightful. We had the Shrimp and Grits and the Seashell Pasta. Both were delishious. The restaurant is full service and the tables look out over the water. The patrons are flooded with country music, very nice.“
“First time there. People were great from the minute we walked in. The green tomatoes sweet chili shrimp was one of the best appetizers we have ever had. The artichoke spinach crab dip was outstanding also. Owner Bill came to the table to check on the meal and service. Told us about a visit from Morgan Freeman recently and he came back twice in one week for the, yep, fried green tomatoes with sweet chili shrimp. They will see us again.“
“So many things from which to choose but I (almost) always end up with the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Nachos. There is just something about the marriage of the pineapple coconut rum slaw, the barbeque sauce, and cheese, that just makes me happy! Next time, I am going to try something else. Maybe.“
“The staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we had an amazing dinner! It was a 30 minute wait when we walked out one amazing gentleman asked what was wrong, the same one who opened the door for our family, we told him we were going back to our car to wait, he walked down to where we were parked which was at the end of the lot on adjacent parking lot asked a question about seating and then went back. Came back not even 5 minutes later to get us to tell us he has a table ready for us!! They were professional, courtesy, and knew what to suggest and never had to wonder where our server was. Id give 10 stars if I could, but only able to give 5! I want them to know they definitely have a new lifelong tourist visitor in me!! Only negative thing was they were out of steak which was what we were all going to order but it’s ok!“
“The food was good and hot but was very basic. My fish didn't have much flavor. The Mexican garbage nachos were decent but the beef tasted kind of cheap. We were looking for top notch/highly rated places to eat while on vacation. I would say if we lived here we would visit every now and then, but i prefer our texas roadhouse or even red lobster. Service was great.“
“The food and service were both superb! The restaurant was clean and bright with great views of the Gulf. The food options were varied and all sounded amazing on their seasonal menu. The shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had. The goat cheese/honey appetizer was delicious. The charbroiled oysters were so flavorful. And the deserts were a perfect way to finish off the perfect meal. Our server was attentive and kind. We had a lovely experience and look forward to coming back.“
“The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere is beautiful. Our server Andrew was wonderful. He took care of all our needs. It's difficult to get great service anymore and Andrew was the best. They have small plates which were perfect for us. Plenty of food. I had the shrimp and grits and was wonderful.“
“Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was so great. Upbeat, felt welcomed and included. Was a lil disappointed that the foam fun was under construction. We took three 16 yr olds and they had a blast. We had a birthday boy with us and the celebration for him was a once and a lifetime thing. He joined in on all the fun and did his bday dance on the top of the table like they asked. The drinks from the bar were so delicious. The appetizers were so good if ya go you gotta try the pulled pork nachos. Everyone got something else so we could all share. Again the food was so delicious, the environment was amazing. Our waiter was Joseph and he was so great he had an upbeat attitude, always checking on us and making sure we didn’t need nothing else. This is a must do. Kinda on the expensive side though.“
