“Being from Galveston TX i like my seafood, working in area we tried a place called the Bayou which was a popcorn greasy mess. So google search sent us here and it did not disappoint. Shrimp was perfect, potato was perfectly cooked. Service was great. Will be back if in the area working again. We'll done“

“The fried shrimp here shall from this day on, until forever, be the standard I will use against all other attempts at fried shrimp! It was just about perfect. Great value, quick service. Its pretty tight in the restaurant and outdoor seating is a bit dirty, and there is quite a bit of lunch traffic, so seating is at a premium. Oyster po'boy is good too, but shrimp platter is better.“

“My family loves The Lighthouse! We had the best experience this evening. My sister & I brought our kids after the DI Mardi Gras parade. Two adults with a 6 year old, two 5 year olds, a 1 year old & a 9 month old. We had a 35 minute wait, but it went by fast. We had a great server, she was so sweet. Our girls were a little loud, but the whole restaurant was loud due to it being busy, a drink got spilled but we cleaned it up. We had two older women and a man sit at the table behind us & they were constantly staring, talking about us & our children. I guess we were a bother to them, I was very upset about it. After we paid, a tall man who works in the back came out and told us not to go anywhere yet, that he had something for the girls. He brought out 3 popsicles & opened them for them 🩷 My sister said he had been looking out from behind the counter and thought he had noticed the situation. Even if he didn’t, he was so kind and it made everything better. Just made me love the restaurant even more. Our food was 10/10 as always!“

“A great Bayou la Batre type restaurant with good food and service. If you want all of the frills that you'll most likely pay extra, go to a Franchised restaurant in the city and miss all of the shrimp boats and ship builders in the area. Sure they make a mistake every once and awhile, many are far worse since covid. I like it !“

“What a jewel!! Located a short drive south of I10, definitely worth the few minutes out of your way. The young ladies taking care of us were polite and very helpful, curteous and efficient. If you are in a hurry they even have a drive up window. The restaurant is located inside the Grocery Store but has its own comfortable seating area. The food was amazing! We had the Shrimp Poboys and a cup of Gumbo. The Poboys bread was very fresh and soft. It wrapped around the 1 POUND of steamed shrimp and all of the fixins without breaking apart. The Creole Sauce was very tasty with a hint of Creole Mustard and Cajun Seasoning. The Gumbo was equally as delicious! Great seasoning and lots of Okra!! If you are on your way between New Orleans and Pensacola and need to grab lunch this is a must stop!!“
