What took me so long to try this place? The jumbo shrimp is beautiful, fresh, delicious. We purchased raw jumbos, shell on, head off, took them home and fried them. My goodness.
This restaurant is located inside the Greer family grocery store. We liked the fact that our order was fresh and cooked while we waited.
Top notch service, the girls here so friendly and kind to us.
Food also delicious, there are tables where you can just eat right there. We tried the shrimp salad, gumbo, shrimp wrap and oysters and all was fabulous

Southern Shells is a restaurant that offers a great dining experience. The menu features wonderful, fresh seafood with generous portions at a great price. The Shrimp Po'boy and the boiled shrimp platter are customer favorites, with the bread being very fresh and soft, wrapping around a pound of steamed shrimp without breaking apart. The creole sauce is tasty with a hint of Creole mustard and Cajun seasoning. The gumbo is equally delicious, with great seasoning and lots of okra. The service is outstanding, and the staff are polite, helpful, and efficient. The restaurant is located inside a grocery store but has its own comfortable seating area, making it a convenient stop. It also offers a drive-up window for those in a hurry. While seafood can be expensive, the quality and value make it worthwhile. For those traveling between New Orleans and Pensacola, Southern Shells is a must-visit for a quick, tasty lunch.
