It's been a long time since I ate here. Very good service and some of the best iced tea on the eastern shore. Ordered the lunch portion of the catfish basket, with cole slaw and okra. I thought the lunch portion was at best, skimpy. The fish was tasty, and so was the okra and the obliglitory hush puppies. I can not come up with a reason to order the coleslaw on a future visit.

Definitely recommend! The firecracker shrimp are amazing for a starter. Would suggest the coleslaw and turnip greens as a side. They shrimp was a little over boiled and the fries wers cold but everything else was great!

The food quality doesn’t compare to local competition. It’s more like a fast food type quality. Greens were from a can, stuffed crab had imitation crab which is a fish product not crab and the hush puppies had no flavor. Atmosphere wasn’t anything special. Overall, I won’t be back. Too many really good seafood restaurants in the area who serve A+ local seafood.

Great food and service! Trisha did a fantastic job as our server.
Wasn't too friendly when we got there. Very short replies and not welcoming at all. The staff while they served very well acted like we were a bother. Other than that the food was out of this world.
The people were friendly. The food was good that we ordered, no complaints there but we prefer the David's Catfish in Atmore, Alabama much better. Their coleslaw is better and if you don't want fried shrimp you have the option of grilled shrimp.
We went on a trip to downtown South Alabama. And my sister talked about David's slaw so many times, I thought I had already had it to... lol... Before we left town when our trip was over, we did stop by David's Catfish and the slaw is absolutely delicious. We both had the one piece fillet catfish with two side dishes and for an appetizer, fried crab claws. She had tea and I had a soda, And of course, my sister brought back a quart of cole slaw to Birmingham with her. They had just opened for lunch. We got there.I know I don't get out often. And I'm always shocked at how much things couch today. But not counting the tip, our meal was $77 & some change. Everything tasted fine, and we had awesome service, she was very attentive. Everything appeared to be very clean and kept up in neat fashion. And I don't guess it's their fault that the ocean is daily getting all the life Squeezed completely out of it! Each year, the fish are begetting smaller, Oysters on the half shell are almost non existent anymore, so is shrimp, and even the crab claws were not like. I remember them being at

Clean environment Down home atmosphere and 5;star service. The food is always tasty and our server Alice is outstanding! I've been to David's Catfish House several times and plan on going back for that famous catfish and more!!?
Service was terrible. Not just our waitress but others around us. Food was really good. Do take out or spend a few more bucks and do Half Shell if it's a date night.
Pricey for the atmosphere and facilities.
