Great American Cookies

Service SUCKED!!! There was only one customer in the store when I walked in. A worker came from the back walked right by me and never spoke a word. She proceeded to go back to the ice cream area where some other customers had walked in at that time. She proceeded to wait on three other customers that came in after me. My son was in line for ice cream and asked her to help me with the cookies. She walked over at that time to help me and never apologized for the wait. I asked to speak to a manager. The manger came out and argued with me saying her workers did not know who was there first. Do better. I got 6 cookies which all were very dry. Not fresh by no means.

I ordered a large cookie cake online from Great American Cookies using one of their own designs, expecting it to look like the example, colourful and generously frosted, which was perfect since it was for a group of kids who love frosting.

When I picked it up, I was honestly shocked at how empty the cake looked. There were large places without any frosting, and the portions of the design just looked off. The decorative “grass” was just a small flat piping job around the edge rather than the detailed star-tip design shown in the image that goes up 1/3 of the cake, and it felt like minimal effort had gone into the overall decoration.

While they did accommodate my request to swap in some chocolate frosting for one of the colours of the design, the overall result was really disappointing. There wasn’t time to ask for a full re-do, so I just had them add some dots to try and salvage the look.

Definitely not what I expected, especially when using one of their pre-made templates

Ordered my daughters birthday cookie cake from here and it turned out great! 👍 staff was friendly and helpful!

Stopped by to order a cookie cake and asked how long. She said they were not taking any more orders today. I had already looked on ordering online and it said it would be ready in 2 hours. They might want to be consistent and stop orders online the same time you do it stores.

This is the great America cookies in Alabama so far that I know who still has the cheesecake brownies

Cookie cakes are WAYYY too sweet!

Blueberry & Strawberry cookies were very good. Snickerdoodle cookies are amazing! The cookies were warm, soft and moist. Perfect location near Build-A-Bear.

Terrible service, asked for icing to be put on a piece of cookie cake and we were told basically that she didn’t want to do it.

They didn’t have any basic flavors. No chocolate, no vanilla, or coffee. Small selection of cookies. It was a sad day for ice-cream.

We had a great experience! I ordered our cake in advance, and it was ready exactly on time. I wanted a space-themed cake with a rocket ship and planets, and it turned out even better than I hoped. I didn’t provide any specific direction or photos so whoever decorated understood the assignment! The added detail on the rocket ship was a great extra touch!
