A little pricy,
but a very nice course
Great layout, friendly people, good food!
Some of my friends and I gather once a month to enjoy each other's company and some good food. Our favorite place has become TimberCreek Golf Club. It is roomy and welcoming with warm greetings from kind staff. But, the best part are the delicious and unique Entrees to choose! There is a delectable Weekly Specials Menu, Monday through Friday. You have got to experience them for yourself!
Should be considered theft for charging people to play this close. I've never seen a course in worse shape.
Worst course conditions I have ever played BY FAR. Played 9 holes and had to get my money back because Most greens have more sand on them than the bunkers and such deep holes you can’t even putt. Bunkers have rocks the size of your foot, Fairways are decent at best and the cart path is overgrown in several spots. They are charging premium prices ($66) to play the absolute WORST greens and course I’ve ever seen with no warning of how bad of shape the course is in. Then have the audacity to say “we’re working on them” when asked why the greens are in such pitiful condition when its very obvious they aren’t doing anything to improve the condition of any of the greens.
Don’t ever review anything but feel like I have to after playing 18 holes here. Don’t recommend this course to anyone. Greens are in very bad shape (have been for the last year). 50-60 dollars to golf here is an absolute joke. Until they start fixing up the course (if they ever do), I will never be golfing here again. There are so much better courses around the area, for way cheaper too.
Food and drinks are fantastic. Course needs a lot of work and is not in great shape.
Nobody let us know the greens were pretty much unplayable. $75 for a course with more sand on the greens than in the bunkers. Not worth the money.
I have played through homeless camps in Oakland that were in better condition. The food in the restaurant looks good
Course is in very very poor shape. Greens are trash, fairways are in bad shape and the course is falling apart. You can not even put on the greens properly. They are charging as if it was a great course. I was very disappointed in my experience at TimberCreek. I would never play or recommend this course to anyone. To be honest I wish I could get my money back.

DO NOT GO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. GOAT RANCH.
Greens were horrible, some had barely any grass! They are like playing on concrete!! The fairways have been driven on so much that they are like run ways. Definitely not worth the $70 to play there.
Possibly one of the worst courses I’ve ever stepped foot on.
I played 18 holes today. I last played the course a few years ago. I was shocked at how bad the conditions were, particularly given the relatively good weather we’ve had this year. The only conclusion I can draw is that the course owners are broke and can’t afford to put any funds into the basic maintenance of the grounds. Every green has dead spots or the surface had been scalped by the mowers. The issue wasn’t in the fact this happened, it’s that there was no attempt to fix any of these problems - especially given how obvious it was that they had been there all year.Tee boxes were in poor shape as well. They hadn’t been mowed in quite a while given the amount of dead, decaying leaves sitting on top most of the surface. The traps all seemed to have different types of sand - colors, grains, etc. Here’s the kicker. The course website shows a beautiful lush course from several years ago, giving the impression of a championship caliber layout. With that, they charge you $65 for 18 holes with a cart. The course plays like a bad municipal course, not a country club-style set of links that they portray. Rock Creek green fees at $70, but when I putt on their greens, my ball doesn’t hit weeds the size of a quarter that are infesting the putting service to the point where it’s worthless even trying to read the break.I’ve played golf for 30 years, in high school and college. I’ve never once written a review for others to see. Being a greens keeper is a hard job. But, it’s impossible when management gives them a budget only big enough for a few bags of Scott’s weed and feed. Trust me - take a pass on this one. It’s practically false advertising to claim this course is anything close to what they are marketing.
Not a big review guy, but I have to warn others since I just wasted one of the few days I’m able to golf playing at this course. First, the rate is 65 bucks which is pretty steep around this area even for nicer courses. I knew after the first hole that I should turn around and go home. The greens are that bad. At one point I had a 2 footer that never sniffed the hole. Every putt was anyone’s guess where they were going to go. I would even say the course is being dishonest about the shape it’s in because there’s no way the person in charge can honestly stand by how much they’re charging. So this Dad who gets one or two days to golf a month will not be coming back. Saturday absolutely down the drain. 20-30 dollar course. Maybe.
