Don't eat the brisket unless you like tough meat. I had the large sliced brisket sandwich and had to take the meat out of the bun and hold it while I tore at it. If I weren't starving at the time it would have been thrown away. Decent flavor, otherwise if done right it would have been great. I worked the pits for 3yrs at a Texas BBQ joint, no excuse for serving this, you know when you slice it if it's tender or not.Also had a Pork sandwich. It was great. Not fatty, great flavor.I did bring it up to the person working and was told they would "pass it along".This was 4:30pm on a Tuesday.
Very cute place & we’ve been wanting to try it. Decided to try it at lunch today. Not a friendly staff at all, walked in the door and was greeted by “do you want something?” We’ve never been here, can we have a second to look at the menu ?. Food was average at best. I had the brisket sandwich, every bite was fat. My husband did love the Brunswick stew & cornbread. Cute place & quick with the food, very clean too but as we waited we listened as the staff commenting about the other patrons as they left. Wonder what kind things they had to say about us when we left. I rated a 3 hoping that maybe it was just a bad day.
Very friendly staff! Fast service .Got a To go order. The brisket was cooked to perfection and a lot less fatty than competitors. The pork was also very good. The real Star was the sweet BBQ sauce and definitely has to be one of my favorite Sweet BBQ sauces I've ever had.Prices for everything we're a few dollars cheaper than competitors.I would stop here again anytime I'm passing byKid-friendliness: Nice sized kids menu
