The last 2 times I’ve stopped in has been met to a locked door. Even though they have an open sign on and their schedule says they are open. Each time not even a handful of cars are here. I don’t think I’ll be giving this place a chance until I see at least a halfway full parking lot happens.

The Gathering is well known for its Southern hospitality and warm welcomes! I'm very particular about my food and the owners and servers make sure I'm served exactly what I requested. The Burgers and Wings are my favorite. You can enjoy a great meal, entertainment and words of encouragement ?
Decided to try, since we had never been, and was looking for somewhere new to eat. The place was basically empty in the middle of lunch time, which says a lot. We didn’t even realize there was a buffet, until the server asked us if we were having the buffet. A quick glance over the buffet, which wasn’t labeled, left you guessing what some of the items were. We decided on the burger, which wasn’t seasoned and fries that were under cooked. The only positive I have was that the server was friendly.

Late lunchtime. Roomy space for choosing table vs booth. Cook brought my meal to me. All staff were friendly and attentive.

Signs out front said breakfast buffet. They had no breakfast buffet. I ordered eggs w/ sausage and hash-browns. Cool eggs. Funky sausage. And brought grits instead of hash-browns. The worst transgression a person can commit is setting grits before me. That's a complete joke and fortunately no one ended up wearing that crap. Staff is rude, cavalier, and substandard in every category! Don't bother gathering here!

Absolutely the best!! The fried pork chop is my FAVORITE, but everything on the buffet is amazing! Anytime we’re asked to suggest a place or take people out, THIS will be the place! Everyone was so great and the owner made his rounds, checking that everyone loved what they were eating! Everything about this place is exactly what you look for in a soul food restaurant! Will definitely be back…often!
