Saturday morning at the only local (non-franchise) eatery in downtown Talladega, Tina's Home Cooking is firing on all cylinders. A couple of morning coffee clubs hold the middle tables and other locals enjoy the morning around the outer seats.

Our server was quick with the coffee, and realizing we were "new", recommended the "All Meat" Omelette. Well, we chose a Western and an egg with biscuits & sausage. The coffee cups we were given were huge! They mean business here.

Being a local establishment, they have no need for fancy presentation, but the dishes served were generous and tasted good. One complaint: the biscuits were a bit hard - it took some effort to cut them with the same knife.

The weekday and Saturday hours for their clientele well: Courthouse & lawyers breakfast & lunch, Saturday breakfast only.

A quaint little place that serves good food. Nothing spectacular just good food. Prices are decent and the owner is very friendly. Go early because she closes at 2:00 pm. If you want breakfast or lunch, it's a real good place to go.

We have been working right down the street from this wonderful, old style diner. We saw it on our way into town and knew immediately it was where we were going to have lunch. Well, we did have lunch there or first day. All I can say is... it's where we've eaten EVERY day since and will continue to as long as we're working in the area!I was born and raised in the South And grew up on and live the great country did they cook here. The menu changes daily so you have variety of you go multiple days in a row. There is a great variety every day and every day the did is just fantastic. There are some everyday constants for those who like a limited number and types of foods so everyone is bound to be happy with something they like. It's just good down home food served by just some great down home, friendly, neighborly folks who are happy to have you visit them. Please do yourself a favor and go! Go soon and often! You'll be glad you did! You might even like it so much you'll slap your mama! ?

The food was okay. The service was friendly and timely. The restaurant though was disgusting. Clutter everywhere and the floors were gross. I went to the bathroom and saw food in the back room laying on the dirty cement floors.

The setting is iconically old-south and the owner was on site and so friendly, any deficiencies in the food pale by comparison.

Parking: Parking on the street right in front if spaces available, but I think there was a parking lot across the street as well

Kid-friendliness: There were no kids there on my visit, but it's very casual.

I ordered my breakfast at 7 and they said they couldn't deliver until 9 instead of adding a delivery fee. Very unprofessional and the food is unseasoned. For an orange juice and bacon egg on toast it was $13.. too expensive for trash and I'm unavailable to eat when I like.
