The food and the service is always great!
Ordered the fish dinner to go,50 minutes later the fish was dry,NOT FRESH,no tarter sauce,no utensils.I've eaten mullet several hundred times, this is by far the worst I've eaten.$20 and change!
Great food and friendly staff
Fresh caught seafood from the Gulf. Delicious fried shrimp dinner...$20.
Best seafood restaurant around!
What a great place! From Karen our waitress who opened the door for my elderly mother to her wonderful service at the table and the very tasty food everything was wonderful. I had the fried shrimp which was perfect and not overly oily or fried. My brother had the shrimp etoufee which was really great and had a good kick and my dad loved the oysters. And he is very picky about his oysters! Everything was fantastic and complemented the warm friendly and very gracious hospitality of everyone there! Thank you very much
Great food! Servers, however, shouldn't walk to tables on their personal cellphone.
Very good lunch. A lot of shrimp and oysters fried perfectly. The price was great, service was great, and the food was great! We'll definitely be back!
Wonderful seafood, I had shrimp poboy and my hubby had the hamburger, he liked it as well. We stopped in on the way to bellingrath lights, never been here before, we're from gautier, ms. The people here were very nice, and the place is cozy. Love the train , and ship pictures. Even have a Christmas tree up. And Christmas music playing, loved it Hopefully they play county music when Christmas is over. . I didn't post a picture of our food, I ate it too quick lol. We will definitely be back !
Wow!!! Another great visit and wonderful supper at Bayley's. Where do I start - crab claws, onion rings, shrimp, oysters, etc. If living in Mobile County would reccomend Bayley's every time. Do forget the West Indies Salad and whole fried flounder as options. Also what wonderful servers they have there too.
Restaurantji Recommends
The sea food is amazing. The cheeseburgers are amazing. The staff is amazing. Would recommend going there if in the neighborhood
The West Indies Salad is out of the world! Everything else I've had there is good too. The interior is friendly and homey. The staff is pleasant as well. Definitely worth the trip!
Attentive service, delicious food, authentic family restuarant. Don't pass up this experience.
Bayley's is a true Mobile area icon. The origin of both fried crab claws and West Indies Salad. If you have never been on Wednesday night for the all you can eat fried mullet, cheese grits, cole slaw and fresh sliced tomatoes, then you are missing out on an amazing meal and a great Mobile tradition.
I can't rate the food because my party was not afforded the opportunity to order anything. After being seated, we were told that there would be a bit of a wait as they were short staffed. We ordered sweet tea, water, and wine (which initially was served in a dirty glass). After getting the attention of our server, we eventually got a glass of wine in a clean glass. When we asked if we could put our order in, we were told that we would have to wait, again. We were not allowed to order an appetizer, did not receive bread, or pickles (we were told that there were none) during our wait. Instead, we received two baskets of wrapped crackers, two straws for a party of five, and no service. After multiple attempts to get the attention of a server, and being told to wait to order, we noticed a party being seated nearby. The party arriving after us received punctual, courteous service. Not only were their drink orders filled promptly, everyone received straws, a chilled mug for the beer, pickles, appetizers, and entrees before we decided that we'd had enough.I'd like to say that I enjoyed my experience, that the food was amazing, or that the sweet tea was spot on. Unfortunately, I cannot say any of these things as my party was not afforded the opportunity to sample the pickles or order anything. Not even an appetizer. Just a basket of crackers, too few straws, and an ample supply of 'No' and 'Wait'.
