Great bbq, I had the ribs, chicken and pork plate. Everything was very delicious, even my sides of fried okra and cole slaw was very good. Great service.

UPDATE: 19 Oct 25 I gotta say their ribs were absolute fire!! Pulled pork was well done too. I enjoyed their potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw. Pound Cake was a little dry because they pre-cut the slices instead of cutting it once I asked for it. Pics I took once I had started devouring it.

Thank you for good food. The Chicken was good and moist. The two sides were abundant and good. Then on top of it the price was great. Less that $20 for a half chicken plate, with two sides, and a large drink. People were kind and attentive.

I cannot say enough good things about Hooks in Troy. We used them for my husband’s 70th birthday party for about 70 people. Kenn was the best to work with, helping me with the menu and advising me on how to set up. As always, the food was excellent and our guests just kept complimenting us on how good it was!

We walked to Hook’s BBQ from the Hampton Inn. It is about a mile walk, but it is worth it. The city of Troy needs sidewalks along the highway badly. The effort was worth it. I had the small pork plate with coleslaw and potato salad. It also comes with rice and a slice of pound cake. Everything was excellent and we are so glad we made the effort. The barbecue sauce is unique and quite tasty. I wish I knew their secret.
Man that was some BBQ! This place is a must try when you are in the area. The ribs were cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was delicious. The okra was spot on. The amount of food you get is epic. I tried the large rib plate and never looked back. Don't forget to get a nice big glass of sweet tea. The staff was super friendly. I will definitely return for another round.

Twice I have went through drive thru, asked for extra cheese, meat..only to be charged double.23 bucks for a regular one..in the photo..the extra meat is whst doesn't have sauce..only 1 sour cream instead of two..no double cheese. And I could have gotten 2 for this price. Shameful..I did call..and was told thats what I paid for and xtra cheese wasn't spelled out. Do not waste your money.

I sat in and had a BBQ sandwich and fries which was pretty good and hot! I was greeted upon entering which was nice! I noticed the young lady in the drive thru. She smiled a lot and seemed very friendly with all the customers that came through. She definitely set a great example for her co workers. I would love to come back and see everyone wearing matching hooks bbq t shirts!
