“If you haven't came here before you need to try it. Menu is simple and the food is excellent. I had the bacon cheeseburger with bacon ranch cheese fries. The ranch dressing was the best ranch I've tasted. I give them a 10 out of 10. It's off of Love st and Oak st.Parking: 1 handicap parking place.Kid-friendliness: Tables are low enough for children.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out.”

“Hook's BBQ is a bit hard to find, but once you find it, you will be glad that you did. There was adequate parking and walking in, I approached the counter and placed my order to the friendly woman behind the cash register. After ordering. I found a seat and waited for my name to be called. The inside has the ambiance that you would expect from a barbecue place. Soon enough my name was called and I received my meal. I had ordered the large pulled pork and for my two sides. I went with French fries and baked beans. It also came with two pieces of bread and pound cake. I opted for the hot barbecue sauce. All in all, I was impressed with my meal. It was good and it was pretty competitively priced. Hook's BBQ is a great place to have a meal if you are in the Hoover, Alabama area. I would definitely recommend here and give it five stars.”

“I’ve been eating here for years & I love this place! Learned recently that the dinner menu is better than the lunch options. For instance, the spicy scallops and caterpillar rolls aren’t served during lunch time. Still one of my favs!”

“Everything was so good, from the smoky velvety and tender chicken quarter to the snappy and slightly sweet coleslaw to the mustard and again a little sweet potato salad, and the typical but perfect banana pudding. Service was good and quick. Only bad thing I would have to say about the place is that the restroom was not as orderly as it could have been, but it was clean. Oh, and the parking lot could be a menace if you drive too fast, so watch out! Definitely would go back again!”

“Driving through town, stopped for the night. Read the reviews, decided to try Rike's.All of the previous reviews are spot on. If you think Taco Bell is Mexican food, this isn't the place for you! All of the different tacos are excellent! Tamales are delicious, and authentic. Even the home made tortilla chips and pico de gallo are great. And try the arroz!Next time I'm driving through Troy, I'll definitely stop again for dinner!”

“I had been watching this place on my travels from Florida to Missouri, and finally stopped in recently. Hands down, The best fried food I have ever had. Macaroni bites and chicken strips???. Also tried a delicious red beer. Don't hesitate to stop by this place!”

“The BBQ and service are outstanding. The chicken has great smoke flavor. The sides are basic, but the chicken makes up for it.It does house a barroom with pool tables. The entire place has a very strong cigarette smell. Take note, if this is a concern for you. The restroom is adequate.”

“Not my best CSC experience. There was only one young lady working the counter and I had to wait for her to finish with a phone order before she could take my order. I ordered my usual when to get my drink in this particular location. Did not have the watermelon tea and didn't have enough strawberry lemonade to fill one glass. There was no effort to refill the beverages so I had to top off with regular lemonade. Both of the lemonades are delicious but don't offer a choice if you're not going to provide the product. The food was good and is consistent as usual. The dining room was very clean then the staff that I encountered was very pleasant. Ample amount of parking is this location is in a shopping center.”

“We made our first visit last night and it was very good. Nice ambiance, it is in a strip mall but the interior is very much like a dive bar, just cleaner. The service was very good throughout, friendly hostesses and great servers. Everyone seemed to pitch in too, the staff seemed to work well as a team with the focus on service. The food was very good as well. I had a Mahi sandwich and my wife had Mahi tacos, both were great. The onion rings looked great, I will definitely go back to try an order.”

“Talk about good Chicken! I grew up about an hour outside Buffalo,NY. These wings are on par with any I would get when I lived there, they are that good. Get the bring the pain sauce and honey garlic and you will have a good time! Also shout out to Laura for the excellent service.”
